Let’s get going on the week of Big Brother cause it has been a wild week in the Big Brother house. First, let’s start with Tuesday’s episode. What in the world was with CBS joining the show in progress after Bush’s speech? I was furious over that. Would it have killed CBS to back up the programming by 10 minutes? CBS.com did put the entire episode up for viewing on the website but nothing big happened in the first 10 minutes. The big part of the episode was the near fight between Eric and Michael. I had read about this incident after it happened on the live feeds. The feeds cut off after the incident and the feeds didn’t return until the morning. That annoyed a lot of people watching on the feeds. Oh, and yeah the feeds aren’t 24/7 uncensored. They always get people mad every year with how they run the feeds. Anyway, from what I have read on the feeds, Eric has been stirring a lot of stuff in the house involving Michael and others. Some of it being shown on TV and some not. It wasn’t a surprise that it got to this level with them having to be separated. There is a lot of backlash going on the internet with fans wanting Eric booted out of the house for a threat of violence. This brought back memories of the Justin/Krista knife incident from BB2 where Justin was booted from the show. Then, there was BB4 where Scott went nuts and started throwing furniture around while saying stuff at the cameras. He was called to the diary room and never returned as he was booted from the show. There was almost an incident after the near argument this week between Kaysar and Ivette. This led to Big Brother announcing to the house guests for everyone to go to separate parts of the backyard or as Gretchen from House Calls called it a “adult time out”.Marcellas was going nuts on House Calls on Monday where he was going off about Eric, Ivette, Kaysar, and pretty much everyone except 3 people. ha ha. He was saying how he doesn’t like any of these people from watching the feeds. It didn’t take long for us to get a House Calls episode with Marcellas going off. It’s always entertaining and he gets me cracking up. Tonight’s episode saw Michael voted off in a 9-1 vote which wasn’t surprising. Then, Kaysar won the HOH. Now this will be an interesting week!!! It was fun to see what some of the Big Brother 5 people were up to. I always enjoy when they catch up with the old houseguests. I did know that Diane and Drew were done right after they got out of the house. It lasted for about 2 weeks and they just realized how different they were. Wow, so Michael and Nakomis haven’t gotten together since they got out of the house until this piece that aired tonight. I can’t say it surprises me cause Nakomis made it pretty clear in the house and after she left the house that she didn’t really see herself spending much time with Michael cause of what actions she had seen of him in the house. The twins seem like they are doing good with their fitness stuff with even having a fitness book out and a website.
We finally have news on the last Friends season coming to DVD. The 10th season of Friends will be in stores on November 15th. Here are the extras on the set.
Friends Final Thoughts cast and crew featurette, Commentary on 4 episodes, Episode previews, Friends of Friends video guestbook, Joey Joey music video, 43 minute multiple season gag reel!
I don’t know if the set will include “The One Before The Last One” but I am really hoping that it will be on there. That was the episode that aired the night of the finale that was a look back and that retrospective was phenomenal. I’ve watched that episode several times since it aired. I’m actually watching an episode of Friends as I type this so that is always fun.
So, there is this guy at the comic book store that I go to that I think could be a celebrity lookalike. It took me a while to figure out who I thought he looked like. I then started to realize who I think he resembles and that is Christian Kane who played Lindsey on Angel. It could just be me that sees the resemblance but who knows?
Possible good news for us Buffy/Angel fans. Kristin from EOnline reported that she talked to Alyson Hannigan at CBS’ panel session for Alyson’s new show “How I Met Your Mother”. She asked Alyson about the possibility of a Buffy movie. Alyson said “last I heard, they were doing a Spike movie”. She also said it would be “straight to DVD”. She is also happy that Charisma Carpenter has been added to the cast of Veronica Mars. Alyson said she would love to be on that show again and have a reunion with Charisma. Could we have a Spike movie? One can only hope that we get something!!
Here is a question. What is VH-1 going to do when they run out of Top 100 of whatever topic kind of shows? I can’t express how much I can’t stand the one format of show that VH-1 seems to have for everything. I don’t mind a couple but how many shows on VH-1 now have the same exact format? I like the VH-1 Goes Behind series. That is fine but ever since I Love The 80’s showed up and did well, VH-1 can’t do anything but do those format of shows. Like I said, I like some of them but just give us some variety. I just saw the listing for Top 100 Red Carpet Moments when I was flipping through the satellite guide. I guess we can always wait for the Top 100 greatest entertainers by the name of Sarah, Top 50 greatest entrances into a TV sitcom kitchen, Top 50 greatest furniture used in a show, and Top 25 greatest food commercials ever. Ugh.
I got good feedback on the Buffy/Angel trivia facts a few weeks ago from the new Buffy magazine and asked if you wanted more to let me know. I had requests for more so here are some more for you. First off, there are spoilers here so if you are watching Buffy or Angel and don’t want spoilers, stop reading now!! ………………………………………………………………….Ok, I warned you. Some of you may already know this one as it’s pretty common knowledge but Joss Whedon almost brought back Amber Benson as Tara in season 7. The story was going to be that Buffy was going to be given a mystical “get out of jail free” card. It was “one completely reality altering thing that she could have -she could bring Angel back to her, she could do anything she wanted”. At the end of the episode, Buffy would walk in to Willow and say look at these new shoes that I got. Willow would be shocked saying that the shoes were nice but surprised that she used that on shoes. Buffy would joke and say “of course not you idiot” and walk out of the room. Willow would turn around and Tara would be behind her. How awesome would that have been??!! Some other facts: Primeval was intended to originally be the last episode for season 4. If Angel had continued to a 6th season, Oz may have returned as a recurring character. Alyson Hannigan is allergic to plaster dust and it caused problems during the taping of the episode of “The Body”. When Xander and Willow are talking about Joyce’s death, Xander punches his fist through the wall which stirs up the plaster dust. Alyson’s right eye and face swelled up and she had to be taken to the hospital. She did finish the scene before she was taken and if you notice in the rest of the scene, only one side of her face is shown.
Don’t forget that Survivor begins on OLN this Sunday. It is going to air a ton of times and I’ve yet to really grasp this schedule on when it is going to air. It will air everyday and it looks like on some days the same episode will air 4 times a day. If you want to see the schedule for it, go to this address:

As you know, I am big into TV on DVD sets that continue to be released. I actually have a website that I check every day that tells of any news on TV shows coming out on DVD or even a look at the box set art. That’s about all I buy now is box sets. Just give me a box set and I’m happy. One thing that is a touchy subject with me and many others out there is music on these sets. There are many shows coming out on DVD where the studio has replaced music in the show because they don’t want to pay the royalty fees. Think about it. There is some show that you are just crazy about and you remember this great scene from the show and you think of the song that was playing during it. You buy the box set and put in that episode and play the scene and the song is gone replaced with a different song. For me and many others, this kills the scene. Whenever I see a show that I really like that is coming out on DVD that had a lot of music, I start researching around to see what people know about the music remaining in it. If they replace the music, most of the time I won’t buy the set. Case and point, Dawson’s Creek. Many of you know that is one of my favorite shows of all time. Probably in my top 5 easily. I have the season 1 box set. They have released 5 seasons on to DVD. Why do I have season 1 and not the other 4? They kept the music as it was in the season 1 release. I think there was actually one song that was replaced in the first season set so I can live with that. The rest of the seasons are the opposite. There was very little music left as it was in the other sets. They butchered season 2 for me. You can actually go to the show’s website and they tell you what songs are played in each episode. Then, they have a list of the music on the DVD’s. They’ll list the original song and list the song that they replaced it with. People were furious over the music that was replaced. There are many great episodes in season 2 and great scenes that are helped with a certain song playing in it. Those songs are gone and replaced with a lot of songs I’ve never heard of. So, I boycotted them and haven’t bought the other seasons. I have them all recorded on DVD anyway from TBS who shows the reruns with all the original songs in tact so I’m completely satisfied with that. Put it this way with Dawson’s Creek. The studio has gotten so cheap that in the season 4 & 5 sets of Dawson’s Creek, they replaced the theme song!! That’s right, the theme song!!! Isn’t that unbelievable? How can you change the theme song? I will say that they did a really good job on the season 1 set and I am really happy to own that set. There are other sets that I haven’t bought due to music changes including Roswell and Felicity. I did buy season 1 of Roswell and some of the music was left as is but a lot of it was changed but they did put a lot of cool extras on the set to make up for it. The studio was up front about it and told all of us Roswell fans that the music had been changed due to cost cutting so they could get the set out. I don’t like that they changed it but I can respect that they were so upfront about it to the fans. DVD sets that I have bought that have all of the original music on them are Friends, Buffy, Angel, American Dreams, One Tree Hill, and Gilmore Girls. American Dreams actually had to raise the price on the set due to the cost of getting all the music on there which is fine. That show would be in trouble with the music off of it. That is part of the personality of the show. I don’t mind at all paying the extra money to get a show with all of it’s music in tact. American Dreams did a great job with their set!! One Tree Hill is also another show that I have to say did a great job with their set especially with how loaded that show is with music. When I bought that set, I put the first disc in immediately and checked a couple of spots in the Pilot episode to make sure the right songs were there. This is a hot topic that is talked and debated about a lot on the internet with the music on DVD sets. I don’t know how all of you feel about it but it is something that can make me want to buy a set or not. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on it so if you have any opinions on it, let me know.
