We are still down to 4 teams in the Amazing Race. I was hoping that it was going to be 3 after last night’s episode but it turned out to be non-elimination. The Weavers were in last place but will survive to the next leg of the race. I seriously thought they were going to just quit at the end of the episode after Phil said it was non-elimination. As he said, they are the least enthusiastic team to ever hear that they haven’t been eliminated as they talked about how no one wanted them there and how the other teams can’t stand them. They just become more and more unlikable every week. Their interviews drive me nuts where they talk about how nice they have been to everyone and how everyone is rude to them. No one likes them and doesn’t want to help them is what they commonly say and that is now true. I said this a few weeks ago and that is that the Godlewski’s helped them twice when no one else would. How did they get repaid? The Weavers talked constant trash on them and then threw stuff at them as they passed them on the highway. I just don’t understand how the Weavers can’t see how horrible that they treat people. I’m sure the usual editing excuse will come up later on with how it made them look but the truth of the matter is that the cameras caught you saying this stuff and they can’t edit what you don’t give them. The preview for next week’s episode showed the Weavers confronting the Linz’s asking them how it felt to waste their only yield on them? Hello??!! There are two yields on the whole race and this was the last one of the two. If it hadn’t been used, there wasn’t another one on the way so it was impossible to waste it. Funniest moment of the episode was Lindsey Bransen getting hit on by some guys as she was on her way up to attempt the ski challenge. Her family cracked up at it too. I’m still loving the Linz’s and want to see them win it.
NBC has decided to not broadcast Trio anymore after the end of the year. It isn’t the end for it though as they have decided to offer it over the internet on the channel’s website.
There are rumors that Simon Cowell may not return to American Idol this season. It’s a long story on why so just go search for the story if you’re really interested as it isn’t hard to find. It’s nothing controversial or anything. If this is true, I definitely won’t be paying as much attention to this show. That show without Simon would not be the same.
Have I mentioned how much I love this 90’s channel on XM Radio??!!!!
The new TV Guide has an article in it about the cancellation of 7th Heaven. It talks like the cast was kind of stunned over the news. Most of them expected to go at least one more season. The general feeling was that the cast was ready to go another year but the WB was ready to end it. This seems to be a common thing with a lot of the shows that have been around for a while on the WB. One of the WB people said something to TV Guide about the possibility of a spinoff. Is this the common thing now for the WB to tell people to hold off the fans anger with the promise of a spinoff? I’m still waiting for that Angel spinoff that WB was telling us could happen when Angel was cancelled. I just don’t understand why you cancel shows when they’re some of your highest rated. It just doesn’t make sense to me in this day of how hard it is for new shows to succeed anymore.
This morning’s Regis and Kelly featured a Seinfeld reunion with Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards all together. It was an all Seinfeld show so they got the full time of the show. It was a lot of fun to watch with them showing clips of their favorite moments of the show. They talked about the fun that they had and it was great to see the 4 of them back together. Just a reminder that seasons 5 and 6 are now in stores and if you buy the giftset, you get a small replica “puffy shirt”. I still watch this show about every night in syndication and I laugh at it just as much as I did the first time I saw it. Seinfeld and Friends are shows that I can just watch over and over and still laugh at them no matter how many times that I’ve seen them.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire opened up huge this past weekend at the box office. It opened with 101.4 million dollars. WOW!! It is the 4th largest opening ever behind Spiderman, Star Wars Episode 3, and Shrek 2. The Johnny Cash movie opened up at number 2 with 22 million dollars. This Harry Potter franchise is huge for sure. I have only seen the first movie so I can’t really give much on opinions but I did like the first movie.
