Only a month left in Big Brother. I am already dreading the down time that I am going to have when this show is over. After the controversy of the HOH competition last week, the HOH competition was redone. This did not go over well in the house especially when Janelle won the redo. Janelle puts up Erika and Danielle for eviction. Danielle with some help from the LOD wins the power of veto. She takes herself off the block and Chilltown and James talk her into putting up Marcellas as a pawn but he wasn’t a pawn. The plan was to turn and vote him out all along. Marcellas was voted out tonight on a 6-0 vote and Marcellas is the first member of the jury. I was shocked to see Howie vote Marcellas out too although he has been vocal as well with wanting him out but I thought he would side with Janelle. The prom night HOH competition takes place and it comes down to a tie with Danielle and Chicken George. George wins the tie breaker and wins HOH. Then, he is hit with the surprise that it is a double eviction week and that he has to name his nominations right now. George nominates Erika and James. Well, then. After all that strategy and planning while waiting for this game to get turned on its head, the one guy who isn’t aligned with anyone wins it. ha ha. I expected James to be nominated but didn’t know who else he would nominate too. The other big news is the Coup D’Tat or however it is spelled. Boogie got that right. He now has the power in
the next three weeks to use this power once. His power allows him to be able to change the nominations right before the voting takes place. He can replace both nominees but can’t put the HOH or veto winner up. It was wild to see how Tuesday’s episode was edited. I watched most of the big stuff on the live feeds that happened in that episode. The Marcellas/Janelle argument seemed a lot more heated on the live feeds than it appeared on TV. I have said this for years and he is backing it up so far this year but Will is the best player in Big Brother history. He was a target from day one and he isn’t really on anyone’s radar to get rid of right now due to him working everyone in the house. I find it really funny that Janelle thinks she is playing Will when he and the whole house is working against her. The two people that I am pulling for to win this whole thing are Danielle and Will.
What You Missed On The Live Feeds: Most of this was seen on TV but I’m going to add more to it. After the first HOH competition last week, Howie was very upset about what happened with his button during the
HOH. After the second HOH competition was held with Janelle winning, things got really ugly in the house. People were very upset saying that it was fixed and Marcellas going to the DR and threatening to walk out of the game. People were really mad. Wow, were things heated when the feeds came back on Saturday after that veto competition. The feeds were on flames for about 2 hours or more while the veto ceremony continued. Then, the feeds come back and in the HOH room is season 6 all in a heated argument. Well, it was mostly Janelle and James as Howie just more or less listened. I was happy with this cause I realized then that things had not gone their way and Danielle had won the veto. James of course threw the veto competition to let Danielle win it and season 6 called him on it. After that argument ended, James went down to talk to Chilltown and told them everything that happened in the HOH room. He told Chilltown to go up there and talk to Janelle. They went up there and asked Janelle if she realized that James was throwing competitions. They also told her that he had told them everything that just happened in HOH. Howie came right out and told Chilltown that they were afraid to put up James for eviction cause that messed up their whole game last year. Will then said, “this is a different game than last year”. As Chilltown was on their way to HOH, James headed over and talked to Danielle and Erika to tell them what was going on. On to the next thing. One thing that has really gotten me cracking up is Marcellas, Danielle, and Erika sitting around making fun of some of the internet viewers that take things way too seriously. They change their voice and act like they are typing on a message board. They start saying stuff like “I can’t believe Marcellas is crying again. Can you believe it? Let’s start a new thread.”. It is hilarious stuff especially when they change their voices while saying it and they get themselves cracking up!! When the spool was brought out as a clue, Marcellas mentioned how telling that it was with alliances. He looked around the yard and the alliances were standing out as people were in groups talking about the clue. When the meeting took place with Boogie admitting that he is dating Erika, how did season 6 react to the news? The first thing out of Howie’s mouth was “did you bang her”. I am not kidding. Nothing strategy or anything with how this could mess their game up but that is how he responded. This guy is something. In a funny conversation, Howie and James were telling Will, Danielle, Boogie, and Erika about their appearance on VH-1’s Big In ’06 with other members of the season 6 cast of Big Brother. They sang a song with other reality TV stars that were on TV in 2006. James talked about how much the other reality stars from other shows couldn’t stand Howie. The producers and Howie argued over the light saber and that they didn’t want him to take it out on stage. He did anyway. Howie said he liked the experience and said this:
“I got a cool VH-1 goodie bag” – Howie
“You got a what?” – Will
“A cool VH-1 bag.” – Howie
“Nope. There is no such thing as a cool VH-1 bag.” – Will
Here are a couple of Big Brother clips for you that are funny. The George clip happened a few weeks ago but the Janelle clip is this week.

A few months ago I asked all of you that had seen Laguna Beach, would I like it and to email me your opinions on it. I got several responses saying that I would like it. Well, you people know me well cause I am hooked after one episode. As I mentioned last week, I have watched bits and pieces of it but hadn’t found the right opportunity to completely jump in. I found that this past weekend when MTV aired a 14 1/2 hour marathon of both seasons. Yep, I have the whole thing recorded and am loving it!!
Extras are starting to be announced for the Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place season 1 DVD sets. There will be commentary from creator Darren Star on various episodes on the 90210 set. Both sets will have episode recaps and also featurettes. No clue if there will be any more extras announced or not. The box art has been released for both sets. If you want to see what they look like, email me and I’ll send you the pics. As far as music goes, I’m sure we’ll have to wait till some of the advance copies get out to see if all the music on 90210 is intact. Can’t wait for these releases.
We’re getting an 8th season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Well, sort of. There will be a new Buffy comic book written by Joss Whedon which is supposed to be a substitute of an 8th season.
One of my favorite commercials has become the one featuring racing star Danica Patrick. It shows her in an arcade racing kids and teenagers in a racing video game. She defeats the first kid and then his friend mocks him for losing to a girl. It then goes on to show real quick clips of her destroying other people too in the game. Highlight of it is her winning against one of them and yelling “next”. It cracks me up every time.
Dancing With The Stars has announced who all will participate in the third season beginning next month. The cast this year will include Jerry Springer, Vivica A. Fox, Tucker Carlson, Joseph Lawrence, Emmit
Smith, Harry Hamlin, Mario Lopez, Sara Evans, Monique Coleman, Willa Ford, and Shanna Moakler.
Diana Taurasi scored 47 points in a triple overtime WNBA game last week. I would have liked to have watched that game.
Nashville announced plans last week for their own “Music City Walk Of Fame”. The plaques on the sidewalk will extend from downtown to Music Row. The first group of inductees are going to be announced in November. Loving that idea!!!

The changes have started with AOL and you don’t actually have to wait till September to get it. Dialup now cost $9.95. High speed route? If you are using another high speed provider and have been paying two separate internet bills, keep your high speed provider, call AOL, and you can get AOL for free. Then, you’ll just have to pay the company that you are using for high speed.
There is talk of another sequel being made of the Ace Ventura movies. Rumor is that it won’t involve Jim Carrey at all. The story may pick up with Ace’s son taking over the family pet detective business. I don’t know why sequels of movies keep getting made that don’t involve the original cast. Some examples, Son Of The Mask, Dumb and Dumberer, Home Alone (although I have to say that I really liked Home Alone 3), American Pie, Dirty Dancing, and last but not least I Know What You Did Last Summer. The latest of the I Know What You Did Last Summer movies just came to DVD this week and it is called I Will Always Know What You Did Last Summer. I thought the first I Know What You Did was good but have never seen any of the others.
Here is some news that will make some of you very happy as several of us reflect back to our childhood with this movie. The Wizard is finally going to be released on DVD. If you don’t recognize the name, this is the video game movie that came out in 1989 with Fred Savage, Christian Slater, and Beau Bridges where Savage’s character takes his brother to California for a video game tournament. This was also the movie that debuted Super Mario Brothers 3. I remember watching this movie and figuring out where that secret flute was on the game. ha ha. This movie is a cult hit for sure. I’m sure some of you are cheering at this news and others are thinking that you have never heard of this movie. It will be released on Tuesday, August 22nd. I have not heard of any extras on the DVD though. Can’t wait to buy this.
Here are your TV on DVD releases for Tuesday, August 22nd. The Bill Cosby Show (season 1), Blackstar (complete series), Blue Thunder (complete series), Conviction (complete series), House (season 2), Invasion (complete series), Redwall (season 3), Renegade (seasons 2 & 3), Threshold (complete series), Veronica Mars (season 2), The Worst Week Of My Life (complete first series)
