In talking to people this week, I have gotten people’s attention with Veronica Mars. Mission accomplished. I’ve already converted some people on watching it or at least giving it a look. This week’s Veronica Mars was a really good episode. Veronica went undercover at a sorority house to see if she could figure out who the rapist was after she felt guilty for what happened to Parker. She uncovered some things going on but not what she planned. This week’s episode saw a guest starring appearance by Rider Strong. Really good episode and it had me glued to it.
James from Big Brother All Stars has posted a picture slideshow online of pictures that were taken at the sequester house and also at the finale. It is very good!! It also shows some pictures of them evacuating from the sequester house due to the hurricane. Here is the link.

Speaking of Big Brother, the replays of the live feeds are still going. The feeds are up to Diane having been voted out a couple days ago with the web HOH competition taking place. Today was the veto competition with all the offering of prizes and as I type this, Danielle has been sent to solitary confinement for 24 hours as a result.
I’ve never watched The Bachelor but one of my favorite things is to watch Kelly Ripa do impersonations and recaps of the previous night’s show on Live With Regis and Kelly. It is hilarious!!
CBS has already pulled the new show Smith off the schedule.
Lots of You Tube news this week. Google purchased You Tube for $1.65 billion. WOW. Can you imagine making a website and then it selling for that amount of money? You Tube estimates that 100 million videos are looked at on the site every day which if true is amazing. This will be a powerful combination with Google and You Tube together. Some visitors to the site are already wondering what will become of the site in the future with Google involved.
Putting the CW comedy block on Monday nights didn’t seem to help the ratings for those shows. It stayed about the same. We’ll see what happens with 7th Heaven when it airs on its new night this Sunday.
Ratings have been falling every week on the new show Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip. There is a decline in viewers every week since the premiere. Many have questioned NBC on whether they are concerned about that and NBC is not. They love the show and have a lot of faith in it.
Another show that is struggling in its time slot still is Friday Night Lights. I read a really good review of it today and people that are watching it seem to like it. NBC said that they realize that it is a tough time slot but they like the show and are sticking with it.
Speaking of new shows, I read an article yesterday about how a lot of the new shows are one hour shows. Viewers just aren’t sticking around with many of them as the theory seems to be that viewers are just not wanting to commit to more one hour shows. I second that opinion. I already have too many of them to watch as it is. The new one hour shows that are doing well are Jericho and Heroes which it was pointed out that there isn’t much else on for that particular audience in those time slots leading them to do well. People just seem skeptical this season on getting into new shows. I know I am cause I learned last year with Reunion that you might get into a new show and then it is canceled leaving you hanging on how it would have finished. I have watched one new show this season and that is The Class. There are others that I would like to try out but just haven’t done it. Most of them are on NBC. NBC=American Dreams cancellation. Yep, still bitter!! Speaking of Jericho, it has been picked up for a full season.
Two Logans on one show. Well, sort of. Matt Czuchry who plays Logan on Gilmore Girls will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of Veronica Mars that also has a character named Logan. There is that actor crossover that people thought would happen between the shows.
Justin Timberlake’s new CD has been sitting on top of the Top 100 Billboard charts for 7 weeks now.
Survivor last week saw the tribe vote off JP who was the strongest of the tribe. Another one of those situations where if you are strong, it doesn’t mean a tribe will keep you around. They saw their opportunity and got rid of him. JP gave the tribe all the credit in playing the game cause he did not see it coming. Tonight saw something happen that took a lot of guts. Aitu wanted to go to the other island to see if they could find some more food or stuff that they might need. Three members of Aitu went to the island which ended up being the other tribes’ island. They ended up walking into Raro’s camp. It was really uncomfortable as they were in enemy territory but Raro weren’t rude to them. Aitu wore out their welcome pretty quickly especially when they started asking for any supplies that Raro might want to give them. Gutsy move to go hang out with the other tribe. That doesn’t happen very often. Another power play almost happened tonight with Christina almost getting voted out. Instead, Stephanie was voted out.
This has been a physically tough season so far on The Amazing Race. The challenges have been brutal. Wow, I can’t believe that Sarah had to do that climb this week. She had such a tough time in that wall climb on the first episode but was amazing in it. There is no way that she should have had to do another one. Why did Peter let her do that??!! I like Sarah but don’t really like Peter very much. I read an article this week that was saying that Peter was the new Flo. If you don’t remember Flo, she cried through just about the whole race and threatened to quit almost every episode of the race. She did win the race though along with Zack. Peter was threatening to quit this week and it seems that Sarah is about to get fed up with him too. Eliminated from the last episode was Tom and Terry. Tom and Terry actually had a tougher time than was shown on the episode in the last part of the leg. They said that at one point that their boat flooded and they had to deal with that.
Mary Hart has signed a new contract to remain with Entertainment Tonight. This is currently her 25th season with the show.
