I begin this week with a new feature that I hope to do more often in the future. I call it “10 Questions With”. It’s a quick answer survey format type questionnaire where I’ll ask someone ten questions. Brain surgery, isn’t it? ha ha. First up, Beverley Mitchell. Yes, she was great to answer the ten questions that I sent her for this. Very exciting! Anyway, Beverley Mitchell plays Lucy Camden on 7th Heaven now in its 11th season on the CW Network. She was in the movie Saw II. Beverley also has an album coming out that will be available for purchase on her website and will be released in stores on January 23, 2007. What made you want to get into acting? It is all I have ever wanted to do! I started at the age of 4 and I have always loved it!
Do you have a favorite storyline on 7th Heaven over the years? The episode titled “Nothing Endures But Change” which was based on the death of my best friend which is also the story behind my song “Angel”.
I know when the musical was brought up to several of the cast of Buffy The Vampire Slayer that some of them were nervous to do it. What was your first thought and some of the rest of the cast members thoughts when you heard about 7th Heaven doing a musical? I thought it was funny! I actually didn’t sing in that one!
How was your experience with the new album? Amazing! It is incredible to push yourself so far and see what you are made of. It was tough but a life changing experience.
How did you decide on what type of music that you wanted to do for the album? I am a country girl through and through. There was no thinking about it, it was obvious.
Favorite movies and TV shows?
Movies: Stepmom, Steel Magnolias, Count Of Monte Carlo.
TV Shows: Heroes, Greys Anatomy, Lost, Survivor.
Do you have any favorite hobbies that you like to do when you get the chance? Sleep! Scrapbook, play with dogs and I want to start ballet!
What kind of charities are you involved with and have a passion for? Make-A-Wish, Habitat For Humanity, CHOC, Mercy Ministries. I love to help whenever I can and make a difference! It is an incredible experience.
How was your experience being in Saw II and that it was also a horror movie? So much fun but a ton of work. Absolutely exhausting but so worth it and totally scary!
Do you have anything in the entertainment world that you would like to do but just haven’t gotten the opportunity to do yet? I am going to write a book but I would love to direct and produce a movie!
