Where in the world do I start with the mayhem that has occurred in the Big Brother house this week? First, I’ll say that to cover the events more accurately and in better detail, I’m going to go more in depth in the “What You Missed On The Live Feeds” section on stuff that occurred due to at times the differences in what is edited into a 45 minute show compared to how it is playing out on the live feeds. First, here is the overview of what occurred this week. Last week’s HOH competition was an endurance challenge. Things started to blow up when a banner flew over the house that read “we love nick, eric and amber are liars, lnc is new nerd herd”. When this occurred, I was so mad. Let me get this straight. They send the houseguests inside the house all the time when a banner plane flies over trying to keep the houseguests from seeing them. So, they decide that a good idea is to do a HOH competition in daylight with the houseguests all facing up toward the sky thus looking right at the banner planes. That is beautiful. I could not believe it. That messed Eric’s game up and the fact that it was also America’s Player that had his game wrecked sums it up even more. Of course, everyone saw it and things took a turn immediately. It came down to Jessica, Jen, Kail, and Daniele in the HOH competition. Jessica was out and then things started getting ugly. The verbal insults started flying from Dick to Jen and Kail. Jen started firing back at Dick and then yelled at Daniele as well. It was getting ugly where Jen was calling Daniele a cheat. Eric stood up for Daniele at one point cause he just finally couldn’t take Jen anymore. It came down to Kail and Daniele. Kail ended up making a deal with Daniele saying that Kail would not go home this week if Kail jumped off. Kail bailed out and Daniele won HOH. Daniele and Dick started putting things together about Eric and blamed him on things. Daniele ended up putting up Jen and Kail for eviction but promising that she had something bigger in mind. This was about Eric. Dick and Daniele targeted Eric and started putting doubt in people’s minds about his loyalty. Some bought it, some didn’t, and some swayed back and forth. The power of veto competition happened which saw the houseguests in a sort of how bad do you want it type competition. The result saw Kail, Zach, Jen, and Daniele having to get a manure like substance dumped on them every hour for 24 hours. Kail and Jameka can’t compete in the next five HOH competitions. Zach, Kail, Jen, and Daniele all had to wear bunny suits for several days. Jen gave up $250,000 of winnings if she does win this game cutting the total that she can win in half. That gave her the veto which she used on herself. Daniele put up Eric for nomination against Kail. The Amber blowup happened with Eric and it looked like Eric had no chance of staying at that point. His group decided to stay with him and needed the numbers. This led us into tonight with Kail being voted out on a 4-3 vote. The votes against Eric were Dick, Zach, and Jen. Interesting to note that Julie Chen did not tell Kail about America’s Player which makes me wonder if she is going to be sent to sequester which the houseguests would not be expecting. Everyone including Kail are expecting her to get to go home so we’ll see that was coincidence or what. This takes us into the HOH competition which was won by Jessica. Go Jessica!! My first thought was this might be a bad week for her to be HOH with the heated tension in the house. I just hope she doesn’t get verbally abused this week for whatever decision she makes. As the show went off the air, the words were already flying with Dick having words with Jameka and Dustin. So far on the live feeds tonight, everyone has went to their separate corners for the most part. Dustin told Daniele that it wasn’t anything personal with the voting. Dustin also made the comment that Dick and Daniele had wanted Kail out and they “got their wish”. Amber has been standing right up to Dick so far asking him how many staredowns that he is going to do with her and other people as he was beginning to do it. Daniele is with Dick in the bedroom crying saying that she hates everyone and wants to go home. Eric and Dustin just went into the workout room and the two of them did this hilarious quiet dancing celebration of Jessica winning HOH. The group is looking at payback for how they were treated last week by the rest of the house. Jessica just got her HOH room and everyone did come to see it including Dick and Daniele.
Other Big Brother Stuff From The Week: I watched Nick’s appearance on House Calls last week. I really thought he came across great on it. He has no bitter feelings at all and was happy answering questions from the fans. When asked about the Eric twist, he thought it was a good twist and really liked it thinking it was a fun idea. His feelings for Daniele were absolutely real. He did say that at the beginning that it was a strategy to flirt but he ended up falling for her. If you are a Nick fan, give House Calls a watch cause it was a good show. I was wondering how the show would play off what happened in the HOH competition with the banner happening. I was amazed when they showed the banner but yet they had to do it cause how else do you explain how all this mayhem started? Tale of two episodes this week with Sunday and Tuesday. I thought Sunday’s episode did a good job of focusing on the craziness of the HOH and stuff that followed. No complaints. What I saw on Tuesday’s episode felt like a rushed way of trying to fly through all the happenings of the weekend while leaving stuff out. The Eric/Dick confrontation and the build up to it was disappointing on TV but it was amazing to watch on the feeds. That episode didn’t make the weekend feel near as cutthroat as it has been in that house since the HOH competition. The live feeds definitely made me feel like I had seen the whole story instead of part of the story like what I saw on the episode. America’s Player question for Sunday night was who do you want Eric to say he’ll take to the final two? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! That is the last thing that Eric is needing to do right now is make that commitment when he is trying to save himself at this point. He even groaned when he read the challenge. Jessica got the vote and he committed to her final two which is what it should be. Then, Tuesday we get “who should he flatter to stay in the house?” UGH!!! Seriously producers, are you trying to get him kicked out? People in the house are looking at him big time to see if they notice anything out of the ordinary and any kind of flattery could get him kicked out of the house. I’m not sure how Dick and Daniele plan on winning this game. Daniele has been basically not talking to anyone until she needs someone to help her with a vote for example, Jen, Zach, Kail. The houseguests have noticed this too. Daniele has been quick to tell her dad that she “hates everyone” in the house. Dick isn’t fond of most of them either.
What You Didn’t See On The Live Feeds: Ok, here is where you’ll probably learn more about what all occurred and how it all went down including a time line. It just so happens that I just happened to be watching at the right times this week when the chaos would happen. I’ve got to say that might just be the most interesting live feed week that I’ve watched over the years. Wow, where do I begin? I watched the live feeds for like 7 hours on Saturday night and then watched for about that long again on Sunday night. The HOH competition last week was blacked out for the live feed viewers for about an hour. The feeds popped on way after the banner had been seen so we were trying to play catch up on what had went down. Eric was apparently disqualified in the HOH competition for having his head up too high on the bar. He and several others complained about Kail doing the same thing but not getting DQ’d for it. Jen at one point on Saturday smashed Dick’s cigarettes and then he retaliated by throwing her clothes in the pool. Saturday was wild after the veto ceremony had been played. The decision was made by Dick and Daniele to get Eric out of the house. They were blaming Eric for getting information to the other side to Kail. Wasn’t that Dustin who was doing that?? I don’t think Eric has talked to Kail very much up until this week. The amazing part of this Saturday afternoon and evening was the conversations that were yet to come. Well, Daniele brought Jen in to talk to her about the nominations and veto. Daniele and Jen talking!! She promised Kail and Jen safety this week saying that she had another target. She wanted Jen’s vote to get for the person up against Kail which was going to be Eric. She was hesitant to tell Jen who she was targeting but then did. They had this really civil conversation for probably 45 minutes. Next up was Jen and Dick deciding a truce in the backyard. I could not believe it!! Jen, Dick, and Daniele talked things over in the HOH room and Dick and Jen even ended up hugging at the end. Talk about the house flipping upside down. Is this not what Dick and Daniele were so upset over Kail doing? I’m talking about Kail not going to talk to anyone until she needed to campaign to get votes for an agenda. Now, they are doing the same thing trying to get Jen’s vote and suddenly talking to her to try and get a vote. Dick and Daniele tried to work over Jessica as well. Jessica talked to Jameka shortly after that conversation. Jessica said that she was glad that she didn’t win HOH this week otherwise they wouldn’t have “seen Dick and Daniele’s true colors”. The whole time I’m thinking Dick and Daniele don’t have the votes to make this move. Dick decided that he was going to call this all out with Eric over dinner. They worked on Jessica and had her in tears cause she thought her friend had been playing her. She literally just went and sat in the floor of a bedroom alone for a long time as she didn’t want to be in the middle of it knowing that Dick was saying he was going to call out Eric in a few minutes on Eric’s lies. She was also trying to figure out who was telling the truth. Dustin was the one that tipped Eric off that something was about to go down at dinner telling him to “watch out”. Jameka found Jessica and told her that she wasn’t buying this about Eric. Dustin had said the same thing and Amber was clearly having second thoughts on it as well. Jameka and Jessica continued to talk and sure enough, there was Daniele popping up in the middle of it not allowing them to talk. Dick had been saying that he was going to call Eric out in front of everyone at dinner. I can’t express how this might be the most anticipated dinner that I can ever remember. The Jokers message board crashed cause everyone was all hyping up that it was getting ready to begin. We had literally been watching for two hours in anticipation. Then, nothing. It looked like it was about to get going with Dick saying he had learned some things about certain houseguests and it had opened his eyes but not going into detail. It stopped from there. The rest of the night saw Dustin trying to poke holes in stuff that Dick and Daniele were saying as Dustin, Jessica, and Jameka were trying to figure out what the truth was. More of the same on Sunday and then it exploded!! Funny thing was that the feeds were doing great up until this argument and suddenly it started just kind of freezing up obviously from all the web traffic. Everyone must have messaged everyone online telling them that was going down between Dick and Eric. I was actually on a different feed and saw someone post that Dick and Eric were going at it and then I could hear them in the background on the feed I was on. I switched over and the freezing up wasn’t bad though and the showdown was wild to watch. Dick came across really bad and all I could think after it was over was that it just backfired on him cause everyone seemed to definitely be siding with Eric after it. Dustin and several others including Jen went to Daniele and said you’re going to have to put your dad up on the block this week if you want any chance to win this game. Jen was crying afterwards saying that she messed up by trusting Daniele and Dick. She felt like she was played by Dick and Daniele cause Dick was yelling all the stuff at Eric that Jen had told them. I noticed that you could see Jen crying on the show when they showed them talking to Daniele wanting her to put her dad up but they didn’t bother with the Jen story. The next night on Monday saw the confrontation with Dick and Dustin. It had been a quiet night and suddenly Dick just called him out while they were in the bathroom talking about Dustin lying. It didn’t last long but Dustin was not a happy camper about it. The blowup with Amber going off on Eric had been building but hadn’t shown signs of happening right at the point that it did. That seems to be the way this house is this season. These blow ups happen out of nowhere. The houseguests were all having fun taking the HOH pictures for CBS.com on Wednesday afternoon. Amber had been in and out of the living room but didn’t look in a good mood. Finally, she just WENT OFF. She went off on Eric big time and it might have been the biggest blowup in the house yet this season. Dick later said that she topped him on anything that he had done or said. She went on a cussing tirade. She was furious that Eric had repeated stuff that she had told him about lies she had told her boyfriend. It had gotten back to Amber and she has known this for several days and has caused her to try and get the group to vote out Eric. Wednesday just seems to be the day that she exploded. Wow, it was uncomfortable to watch and the room was just silent filled with houseguests but no one wanted to speak with everyone looking forward. After it was over, houseguests one by one kept filing out and leaving Eric in there by himself. Kail ended up going and talking to him afterwards. Dick walked by him on the way to the storage room saying “you got what you deserved”. The reaction on Jokers was pretty funny cause there were people that had missed it. One person posted saying that they had gone downstairs for a few minutes to get watermelon and missed the whole thing. That cracked me up cause I could just see my reaction if I had been watching the feeds and missed it. Another Jokers poster had a good comparison of Amber to a tornado. They said how the room was really quiet right before it happened like a tornado is and then suddenly it just built up and ripped though and then it was quiet again. When I read that, it was a good comparison cause that was what I saw as well. Eric went into the diary room after his talk to Kail and didn’t talk to anyone. He actually went in the diary room cause he didn’t think anyone would even want him around after what all had been said about him. He came back out eventually but didn’t speak a lot wanting to have some one on one conversations. He asked Daniele if he could talk to her in the HOH room. She was for it and had a good talk with him. He talked about stuff that Dick and Daniele had come up with and pointed out how he just didn’t want his last day in the house to be miserable and didn’t want it to be uncomfortable. This led to Daniele going to her dad and telling him to lay off of him. He said that he would but not “for him but for you”. Jessica went up and talked to Eric for a while. She mostly just listened to him as you can tell that she just wanted to hear him out. He basically said that he didn’t want her to think that they weren’t friends and was concerned that they wouldn’t be friends afterwards. She said that they would remain friends unless she hears that he had said the things about her that she had been told by others. He asked if he still had her vote to stay and she said yeah. She left and let Jameka have the same conversation with Eric. Jessica went back to her bedroom and was noticeably crying. I really feel bad for her cause you can tell that she is concerned that she was played instead of having a friendship. She genuinely wants to be friends but is afraid that he may have said the stuff about her that she has heard. She said that she won’t know the truth until she gets out. She does however think that he is a good person and not the “person everyone makes him out to be”. She does believe that he didn’t cast the votes. Jen wanted to talk to Eric but he basically told her he didn’t want to talk to her cause of the possibility of her going and telling the other side what he had said. Eric had a good conversation with Dustin as well which was basically the same speech he gave to Jessica and Jameka. He did tell them all that he didn’t cast the votes that they had blamed him for. Technically, that is true. It was America’s votes. He did however say he didn’t do the mustard to all that he talked to which isn’t true. The group of Dustin, Amber, Jessica, and Jameka flipped back and forth many times on who to evict and came to the final conclusion on Wednesday night to keep Eric.
Other things on the live feeds this week. Jen is battling an ear infection that is really bothering her. She says that she got it during the day of the 24 hour dumping. It really is just making her miserable. Jessica missed the blowup with Dick yelling at Dustin in the bathroom on Monday night. Dustin went into the bedroom which woke up Jessica. She had been sleeping. Eric came in and told Dustin “welcome to the club” basically the getting yelled at by Dick club. Amber came in as well. Jessica laughed saying “I’m never going to be on the show” joking that she misses everything whether she’s in the wrong room or asleep. Speaking of that, Jessica and Dustin stayed in bed for 24 hours to have a punishment type deal like the rest of the houseguests. Just something for them to do. Eric brought them food and drink. This took place on Tuesday night. They were very funny. I find the two of them to be funny together. They play off of each other well. They eventually started jumping up and down on the bed. They eventually got very slaphappy as they got more and more tired. I think I watched that room for probably almost three hours with people going in and out of it. Funny stuff. Odd side note that the producers decided to change the FOTH music on the feeds back to the old theme song instead of the current one. They just changed that up on Tuesday out of the blue. Ah memories with that music. A 4.5 magnitude earthquake happened last night in California which was felt in the Big Brother house.
Endemol USA sent a cease and desist to the airplane pilot that keeps flying the banners over the Big Brother house. They claim that he was planning on sending a banner over the house revealing the America’s Player twist to the houseguests. They claim that he is messing with the rules of the game. The pilot is not happy about this and says that he is just doing his job. He won’t give the name of the person who hired him to send the banners over the house. CBS had this comment: “It’s always great to have fans that are this engaged and passionate about ‘Big Brother.’ However, we also need to protect the integrity of the competition, which does not allow any outside influence on the houseguests who are sequestered from the public broadcast and therefore unaware of some of the secret twists in the show.”

With thanks to Noggin for running a marathon, I am now done with season two of The Hills. It was taking way too long for MTV to put them up On Demand and I wanted to get them all watched. Thoughts on the season are pretty much what I said a couple of weeks ago. I really liked it though and this has become one of my favorite shows on TV. Heidi moved out and then moved in with Spencer. Spencer’s strategy was ridiculous especially with the fact that it worked. He pressured Heidi to move in with him and argued that this was the cause of their arguments in their relationship. Heidi didn’t really argue other than to say that she didn’t see why this was such a big deal. We learned what the big deal was and that was Spencer wanting Heidi to move in with him to get Heidi away from Lauren. Lauren has read Spencer perfectly for a long time now. How did he get Heidi to agree to move in? He bought the place and then said this is ours if you want it to be. What the??? So, Heidi has moved in with Spencer. Audrina moved in with Lauren which I thought was a good idea. Whitney was interviewing for a new job but we didn’t find out anything on whether she got it or not. Good for Whitney on deciding that she was ready to do something job wise instead of just spinning her tires in place which she was getting frustrated with. Season three premieres Monday night on MTV at 9pm and I am very ready for it.

Mandy Moore is set to guest star on an episode of How I Met Your Mother this season.
I had to see what all the hype was about with High School Musical. I watched it over the weekend and enjoyed it. It is a fun movie and a pretty much paint by number story but is an enjoyable movie. The talent in this movie definitely shows through. I don’t know how Disney does it but its like they have a factory where they just keep producing talent. What is in the Disney Kool-Aid anyway? LOL. It seems like they have just been producing new talented people for decades now. Lots of stars in this movie have already had their careers taking off from Ashley Tisdale, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, and others. Definitely a talented group. High School Musical 2 premieres on Disney Channel on Friday, August 17th.
