The Amazing Race Gets ‘To Be Continued’

admin December 5, 2025

The Amazing Race was set to reveal our final three teams and then we got the ‘to be continued’. I let out a groan at the TV. To me, this likely tells me that the finale is not going to be very exciting if they felt the need to add the drama of this elimination into the finale episode. I’ve seen that in the past where they’ve carried something over like that cause there is going to be little drama to be had otherwise. In my mind, I’m expecting the winner to just win by a wide margin. But we’ll see. That’s next week. I’m ready to talk about this week.

The final four teams travel to Paris, France. This was a gorgeous setting for this leg of the race obviously with it being Paris. It was so great to see the visual of Izzy and Paige join up side by side with Jag and Jas at the start of this leg of the race. They tried to get rid of Izzy and Paige and here they are. I loved that. All four teams arrive as we’re all even for the start of this leg as they’re all on the same flight to Paris. Teams arrive and their first task takes them to the Moulin Rouge to perform the can can dance with the dancers there. This was fun. My first thought when I saw that teams were doing this was somewhere Hannah is screaming in front of her TV knowing she didn’t get to do this. I checked Chat BCC and there was Hannah posting with a post equivalent of a WHAT????!!! LOL. The common theme with this task is that the teams were horrible on their first attempt. I mean horrible to the point of that they were laughing at themselves of we’re messing this up so bad. Jag and Jas regrouped strong for their second attempt finishing the task. I laughed at Joseph’s response after he and Adam had their bad first attempt. Joseph said out loud when they were walking off a line that I can’t figure out where it was directed. I couldn’t tell if he said “you’re also pretty and I blacked out” referring to the judge or if he said “you’re all so pretty in referring to the dancers. LOL. I laughed out loud though. Love Joseph and Adam. Kyland and Taylor do good on their first attempt so they were the absolute exception to the bad on the first attempt thing. They still had to do it a second time but they absolutely rocked even their first attempt. They get it on their second attempt. Tears from Kyland for achieving this task. Nice moment with them. Izzy and Paige struggle on their attempts too and they are so good at calming one another and working together when one gets stressed. I really notice that about them and this plays out again as they finish it on their fifth attempt. Joseph and Adam continue to struggle and the judges were openly cheering them on saying they so badly wanted them to get it. They get it on their sixth attempt. Joseph and Adam struggle here as they arrived first but end up leaving last. Good news for them is that Izzy and Paige have struggled getting a taxi so when Joseph and Adam leave the venue, they see Izzy and Paige still in their vision.

Teams travel to the Notre-Dame Cathedral for their next clue. Beautiful scenery here. They move on to the road block from here as they have to complete typing out a Braille version of a poem. I found this task very interesting to watch and it pulled me in. The judges there show them how to do the typed version and we have Jas there first by himself. He goes full slow and steady for a strategy not wanting to mess up. The twist with this task is that you complete the whole thing and then get graded on it. So, you could mess up first thing and type out the rest of it for ten minutes for nothing cause you messed up at the beginning. Then, you have to redo it. Jas doesn’t want to do this more than once and it does pay off. One and done. They’re off to the next task. The drama is next as we have Izzy, Joseph, and Taylor all there at the same time doing to the typewriter. Joseph’s strategy was similar to Jas’s as he was moving very slow and steady wanting to go one for one. Taylor was moving faster but steady. Izzy was probably the fastest of the three but doing well. Izzy just kept getting bit by it about 3/4 of the way through. Some times she’d catch it on her own and ask to start over. Taylor finished and went for her first check but had an error so she started over. She gets it on her second attempt so Kyland and Taylor have moved up to second after starting this leg in the back again. Izzy goes for her first check and it’s worst scenario for her as she has an error and it’s right at the beginning. Joseph was stressing going at his pace when he is hearing how fast Izzy is typing. Izzy goes for another check and gets another error. So, Joseph has just slow and steadied through this while Taylor and Izzy have been speedy around him. Joseph goes up and I’m thinking this is going to be pure devastation if there is an error here with his typing pace cause he’ll have to do this all over again. He can’t even look at the grading but he gets it on his first attempt. A frustrated Izzy is tearful as she continues to try and finish. She’s right on this check. Paige greets a tearful Izzy who tells her that Joseph and Adam just left like two minutes ago so they’ve still got a chance.

Teams move on to the last task where they will have to find three different versions of the Statue of Liberty in different locations. Jag and Jas finish this first and then are first at the pit stop. Really not any drama with them through this leg of the race. Taylor and Kyland finish the task second and finish second at the pit stop. This leaves Izzy and Paige vs Jospeh and Adam. They’re battling it out to the pit stop and we get a ‘to be continued’ not knowing who will be eliminated. So, our final three teams will be set at the beginning of the finale next week. I really enjoyed this episode this week. I enjoyed the typewriter battle as it was fun to watch the different strategies and see how they handle it all. The dancing was fun and light. Who wins next week? The odds are definitely with Jag and Jas but can they finish off the win?

Current standings:
1 – Jag and Jas
2 – Kyland and Taylor
3 and 4 – And undecided Izzy and Paige – Joseph and Adam
