Day 12 in the Big Brother house so the veto competition and the talk going full steam ahead about what to do with the veto. The day starts with the veto draw with the names drawn being Angela and Barrett. The veto competition happens and the winner is Devens. The finish of it is pretty interesting based off the convos that we heard in the house. According to several stories said, the comp was a puzzle and Jason apparently had his done first but he hesitated hitting his buzzer cause he stopped to proof it making sure he had it right. While he paused, Devens finished his and hit his buzzer and won. So, what will Devens do with the veto? Well, that is the story of the rest of the day and will be for the next couple of days. First, Rome and Lyric try to find a way to get Devens to use the veto on Lyric and have come up with a plan to fake breakup. They want her to then flirt around with other people in the house to continue to sell it. She goes into breakup mode immediately going into the room with Chuk and Yash. She is laying on Chuk. Chuk is enjoying it making Rome jealous. So, that worked fast and immediately with the flirting. LOL. Lyric talked to Dee where she continued the breakup sell and she tells Dee that she wishes Rome would go on the block instead of her cause it was his fault and not hers. She doesn’t want to lose her game cause of him. She asks Dee if she’d talk to Devens for her about using the veto and Dee says she’ll talk to him and report back to her. Lyric does end up in the HOH room later talking to Devens. She promises to keep Devens safe if he uses it on her. Devens was surprised to hear this from her as he expected vengeance. He is also believing her. The people she is talking to are believing her as she’s doing a great job of little ol’ me nice sympathetic girl and they’re buying it. She’s selling things and playing this very well. Later in the HOH, Chuk fresh off of being flirted with is now pitching to Devens to use the veto on Lyric. LOL. Dee arrives later in the HOH and she pitches the Lyric veto too. She says that Melody should be left on the block cause she’s a better player of the two to leave up there as a potential to go. Angela arrives in that conversation and she gets told what they’re thinking to which Angela pushes back on that plan. She says Lyric is a vote for Rome to stay if she comes down off the block. They say back to Angela ‘is Drew too close to Melody’ and that makes Angela warm up to the leave Melody up plan. Again, Angela still has trust issues with Drew and honestly the three vets are starting to feel trust issues with Drew and a little bit on Barrett based on who they see them talking to. For me, I love having Drew infiltrating the other side if you know he’s for sure with you cause he could get wind of the fake breakup and take that back to them. Barrett is also losing steam with the other side of the house cause the other side of the house is just seeing him as Dee’s sidekick. Mallory and Barrett have cooled off with talking cause Mallory can’t stand Dee cause she put her up and she sees him as Dee’s sidekick. Mallory also just can’t stand the vets in general and wants them out of the game. Kamu and Drew talked and they are now calling themselves the handymen of the tool shed alliance so they are a duo in the middle of the alliance. There are times I really struggle to see where Kamu truly is in the game cause he’ll have a good convo with Devens but then a good one with Rome. He fools me cause I get puzzled too. I watched him talk to Haley and Chuk later in the night so I paid more attention to that convo as I felt like it would be more genuine and it felt like he is still with Devens. Melody and Kamu talked with Melody saying Rome will always protect Lyric. Kamu brought up the breakup saying it didn’t seem like a breakup. Kamu did talk to Devens and they said that if they can’t get Rome, just get Jason out. Devens says he is worried about Melody pulling Drew away from them to which Kamu downplayed that saying no, Drew is with us. They end up saying take Melody off the block and try to win favor with her cause you can probably pull her in more than the other girls.
Other happenings in the house. Jason and Angela had a talk in the backyard where they cleared the air and Jason said the thing to the camera that he did was just him playing up a funny gag. He promises to keep her safe if she keeps him safe. Angela continues to maneuver around the house in her uncomfortable egg detective costume that she hates. A very meme moment in the backyard where she was watching the group playing cornhole (not bags LOL). She was laying on her stomach and the top of the costume looks like you’re looking out a window. So, she is laying there looking out of the top of it just watching looking sad and bored. That will be one of the big BB memes of the season and probably going forward. Is there a romance between Melody and Drew? Well, that has been a topic for a bit in the house. Rome and Drew were talking and Rome asked him if he had a crush on Melody. Drew says no and points out that she’s older than him. It’s funny listening to people say age gaps are age gaps with them being two years apart as “older”. Two years is a breeze in age gaps. LOL. Rome did reveal his name secret to Drew telling him that his name is Jack instead of Rome. Drew said he feels like there is a lawyer secret in the house to which Rome says well it isn’t Lyric she’s a singer. She’s actually an attorney in case anyone reading this didn’t know so that was a pretty funny moment. LOL. Lala ranted in the hammock by herself about how annoyed she was with everyone. She said everyone has whined all day about how tired they are and now everyone late at night is hanging out in bedroom talking and not going to sleep. LOL.
The story of Sunday will be more switching around on who to use the veto on. Will the group catch on to Lyric and Rome’s fake breakup? Will they try and pull Melody in?
