Friday was Day 18 in the Big Brother house. We had the nominations and also the revelation of who got the latest time capsule power.
Day 18 began with Kamu continuing to hold meetings on who he was going to put up for eviction. He talks to Lyric where he says he’s considering putting her up as a pawn cause she’s so liked and they won’t vote her out. Kamu talks to Lala and says that he has to consider that she is the last person that he’s talked game with so he doesn’t have much ties with her game wise. He says he’s considering putting her up but that the only reason is that she’d be safe. He said the house kept giving two names of who they’d be ok with on being on the block and it was her and Jason. One thing he also tells her is that the reason her name was brought up was probably because the house loves Lala the person but the authority version of her comes off as abrasive and rubs people the wrong way. He said they feel like she doesn’t treat them like adults at times and advises her to just let them live in their mess. He says he’s telling her this cause he doesn’t want her to potentially ever go home on something silly just cause she was annoying people. Funny moment with Lala just flat out asking him at one point “who are you working with?” to which I said wow, she’s going full for it. LOL. Kamu replies with “here’s who I’m targeting” and never answers her question. LOL. He reveals to her that Mallory is targeting about “half the house”. He tells her as well that he hopes someone wins the veto cause he has someone he’d like to target who won a previous competition the night before which is meaning Jason. Kamu talks to Mallory. He says he likes her a lot but he’s hearing she’s mentioning his name a lot. She denies it with full force. She’s in full denial mode and says he says he’s heard it from multiple people. He also tells her that you may want to check who you are giving info to because it got back to me. She tells Kamu that she’d put up Devens, Dee, and Jason if she was HOH. He says Lyric is aware of this plan to put Lyric on the block but she isn’t his target. He also talks of hearing that Mallory might put up Barrett and says you might want to talk to him and clear that up. Kamu and Haley talk. Kamu tells her that he basically told Lyric, Lala, and Mallory that they’re going up on the block and downloads his info he’s learned in meetings to her. Kamu talks to Taylor giving her a heads up that Lala is going to go up saying he didn’t want her to be blindsided. Mallory and Lyric cry in the bedroom together upset over them both going on the block. Mallory talks to Barrett about Kamu hearing that she would put Barrett. He says he hasn’t heard that and she also denies it. Mallory vents to Barrett over everything and he consoles her. Kamu also met with Jason where he told Jason that he will not be put up today.
What about the time capsule power? Well, there were a lot of eyes through the day from us and the houseguests on who was being called to the DR and how long they were in there. Lala was in there for a while at one point which raised suspicions in the house. Devens gets called and then walks back out. Nothing from him. He walks outside and sits in the backyard in the corner. Drew and Barrett approach him and he denies anything with the time capsule saying there hasn’t been anything going on with him. So, he’s either being truthful or my thought is that he doesn’t want to tell them. It turns out that it’s that he doesn’t want to tell them. He looks up at the camera a few minutes later and does a little dance but doesn’t actually say anything. Him and Dee talk in a room not long after and he reveals that he got it. He says he’s only telling her about the power and keeping it secret from everyone else. He reveals that he got the diamond power of veto. The power will last for six weeks. He can stand up at any point during a veto ceremony and take someone off the block and name the replacement. Dee is in full shock and they keep it to themselves. Devens did say that it was same spinning thing that Angela had. He said that he just studied the pattern and hit the buzzer where he wanted it to land. Throughout the day, they both have different conversations speculating on who might have it and deflecting off who might have it. Jason goes to the HOH for a while. People wonder if he’s got the power. Drew talked to Kamu about the power. Drew says Devens says he doesn’t have it. They ponder Jason and Kamu says well, if he’s got it, we flush the power out along with sending him out. Jason does walk out later and makes a tease of he has something to announce and says just kidding. Devens talked to Angela and Haley later with him saying maybe the fans were sympathetic and voted for the other side. Devens said I might have broken up the biggest showmance in Big Brother history and the fans are mad because of it. Haley said sometimes those moms will come for you that love their showmances.
The nomination ceremony does take place with Lyric, Mallory, and Lala on the block. Afterwards, Jason is in rant mode talking to Taylor and Lala. Jason says I’m the new Rome and figures out he’s the backdoor option. He figures Angela and Dee are the cause of it. Jason says he wants to go to Dee and call her out on lies to which they back him down immediately of no, no, no, don’t do that. He does go talk to Dee but talks nice talk instead trying to go that route of finding out if he’s in trouble. Lala talked to Kamu saying that Jason knows he’s the target. Kamu is shocked that it got to Jason. Kamu has basically told the whole house so I don’t understand his shock. LOL. Lala suggests it might have been Haley.
Other happenings of the house. Angela wasn’t happy with Mallory being on the block as Angela has a good relationship with Mallory and likes Mallory. Angela’s paranoia continues and her and Dee are now paranoid about Haley in the game. Taylor pitched an alliance to Kamu of maybe they make an alliance of them, Devens, Mallory, and Drew. There was a funny moment in the late night feeds. Dee, Drew, Chuk, Angela, and Haley were all sitting upstairs. Drew said that he felt like Kamu and Lyric were flirting outside. Drew said that Kamu told Lyric to come up later if she wanted any of his snacks. Snacks of course meant food but they had fun taking it another direction. Drew says what if I go in there wanting snacks. LOL. They come up with a plan to have Drew laying on the bed with snacks on the bed as Kamu walks into the room. So, while Kamu is in the HOH shower, the group all goes in and figures out their plan. It was pretty hilarious. Of course, we wait 20 minutes for this buildup to the payoff, Kamu opens the door and looks…..and feeds cut. COME ON is what I annoyingly yelled at the TV. I’m sure they decided to hold that for Unlocked which has been one of the pushbacks from me and many on Unlocked. It costs us feeds content. It’s a prank. It’s not a game revealing moment that usually gets a feeds cut.
Last night on Unlocked, the rest of the powers and punishments were revealed of what was in play for the time capsule. The diamond power of veto is of course off the board now. The others are a bribe. The coin of destiny which is Claire’s old BB23 power of you have a coin flip of a 50/50 chance to take over the HOH. HOH replay which means a HOH is eligible to compete in the following week’s HOH comp. A never not pass which means you can avoid being a have not for the season. A mystery competitor which is what Keanu used last year where Kayce played in a comp for him. The punishments are the Lord Of Latrine which was the funny Derek X punishment from BB23. The Adam and Eve punishment from BB16 where Caleb and Victoria were handcuffed to one another for a time. The camp guide from BB19 where Alex would have to set up a tent when called upon. The red unitard which was made famous by Jen Johnson in BB8 where she had to wear that for a week to which if there was a Big Brother museum, that would have to be in it. The Hamazon punishment from BB20 where Faysal had to eat ham every time it was delivered to him and finish it.
Saturday will have the veto draw early in the morning and the veto competition later in the day.
