Day 68 turned into a much busier day and a bigger night for all of us live feeders when we got the surprise of the veto competition taking place on the feeds.
We started the day with the veto draw. Dee and Devens were picked for veto. Taylor was not picked which means that Dee and Devens are guaranteed to move on to the next week as Taylor was the only one who could win veto that would have forced something over the bribe. The feeds go down during the day for the veto completion which was promoted as a “pressure cooker” competition with the video footage showing what was not the pressure cooker. We saw the holding the sword video footage on Thursday’s episode. We’re going about our day not expecting to see feeds for a very long time. At just before 4:30pm BB time, the feeds turn on and we’re thrown into the middle of this competition. It appears that the competition was probably around 2-3 hours in when we get feeds. From what I remember, this is the first time we’ve ever gotten to watch a veto competition live on the feeds except for BBOTT where we saw everything live. This type competition is usually a HOH competition so that’s how we normally see it. The competition itself is a play off the new movie, Focker In Law. The setup is set for a tie to the movie and the winner gets to watch the movie along with winning the veto. Movie poster up in the room. It is a lie detector theme where they are having to hold their polygraph cards in place with a rod. If it falls, you’re out. All six are still in the competition when feeds turn on. Taylor is hosting and is sitting over on a stool in the corner which looked mighty uncomfortable by the way. They were all talking about random things with movies and such. Just anything to pass time. Now, remember Yash is also in here sick as he’s caught whatever is spreading around that house that Devens had. Yash spends a bunch of the night saying he’d love to get some water for his throat. Dee is the first one out just after 6:00 BB time. Her and Taylor go inside the house and they have the competition turned on in there in the living room for them to watch. No sound on it obviously where the eliminated people can’t hear about deals being made and such. Dee says at one point that she threw the competition cause there wasn’t any reason for her to stay in it cause her and Devens are safe with the bribe. She says Devens should drop too cause he doesn’t need safety either. Taylor and Dee have dinner inside as they watch things play out. At around 7:30 BB time, Melody drops out. She goes inside and is in tears for not having to drop out. Barrett talks very little through this thing. Drew is antsy about all night talking, yelling, hyping, whatever to just entertain or hoping others will lose focus and drop. At one point, he talks about having them study their weeks in there. They do that and Drew starts to go into story time about one of the weeks. Devens says we don’t need that distraction of things we don’t need to know, stick to the facts. LOL. Inside, Dee jokes about the winner getting to watch the movie where she says you should get to meet the cast after going through this. It is a while before we get another drop and it’s Devens at about 9:30 BB time. Inside, it’s been quiet off and on as there is napping waiting for some activity of someone to drop. Devens joins them inside. From here, it’s just an absolute marathon of a late night watching these three just rock steady. I say rock steady as in they’re not dropping. They’re struggling mightily obviously but they keep going which was just incredible to watch. Inside the house, Devens gets asked if he could have stayed in with them and he says no and he’s glad he bailed a couple hours ago after watching this going on. I’m watching thinking these three are going late. You have Barrett and Drew who absolutely have to win this. Then, you have Yash who wants to keep his nominations the same and keep Taylor off the block. The fact that Yash is doing all this while sick is just wow. Inside, Taylor, Dee, Devens, and Melody talk, eat, nap, and watch giving commentary here and there on what they’re seeing. Taylor is cracking up at Drew doing his basically dancing in place to keep himself going. Drew mentions at about 11pm BB time that maybe they should make this harder and come up with something to finish this faster. Yash says he’s up for it and let’s make this end faster. Some suggestions are made but nobody likes anything suggested and nothing happens. They do later on each take their shirts off to get down to sleeveless as the temperature is hot in there. Taylor inside said “they’re stripping”. LOL. I should point out too that Drew just looks MISERABLE all night. His face, his body language. Finally, at about 2:20 am, Barrett drops out. That leaves Drew and Yash. At about 2:40 BB time, they start working out a deal. Drew can’t vote out Taylor or can’t him up next week if he’s HOH or renom him. The deal is agreed to and Yash says let me just figure out a position to get myself into here where it doesn’t look like we made a deal. Inside, the house is indeed discussing them talking wondering if a deal is being made. LOL. Yash leans down and finds a way to make it look like he got in a bad position and lost. At just before 3:00 BB time, this marathon competition ends with Drew winning veto. The competition itself went for over 13 hours. It was INCREDIBLE. Major shoutout to all of them cause that was a warrior of a competition. As we got into the very late hours of the night, I said I think we might be going till in the morning. Glad that we got to see the competition on the feeds as it sure threw us all into a frenzy out of nowhere of hurry to the feeds and cancel whatever for the rest of the night. This night also represented my over 25 years of BB fandom cause I laughed saying here I am staying up all night watching people standing in place holding a rod to a button waiting to see who wins. LOL. The amount of late nights with me watching these all night competitions has been a lot and it was fun to add another one to the mix. I’ll be sleep deprived all Sunday but this is what us live feeders do is go on little sleep for three months every year. LOL. I doubt we get much activity out of the houseguests on Sunday after this marathon. I said while watching that BB just may let them sleep most of the day Sunday. With Yash feeling how he’s feeling with being sick, I wouldn’t be surprised if he just sleeps all day and he should to rest.
