Day 73 in the Big Brother house was an action packed night with a crazy double eviction.
I’m going to get right into last night’s episode. Melody had herself living her best Big Brother night as she pulled off the blockbuster win which was her first win of the season. Side note, it’s incredible how bad Big Brother is at showing live competitions. Just put the camera on a wide shot where we can actually see what’s happening. You eliminate the drama with these long close ups when I can’t actually see what is happening. They’ve always been so bad at this with this. You’ve got two cameras for a wide shot. Just leave it on them where we can actually see the competition and see drama. LOL. Melody’s win means Barrett would be leaving. He is evicted on a 3-1 vote. The houseguests get the word that they have been expecting through the week and that it’s time for double eviction. I joked saying what if Melody just sweeps the night here and goes back to back wins after not being able to get a win all season. Little did I know, it would become true as Melody continues her night winning the HOH which threw all the plans up in chaos. She puts up Devens and Dee for nomination. That sends it to an all important power of veto competition where one of those two have to win to even have a chance at both staying. Devens pulls off the veto win. Who will go up as the replacement? We see Taylor and Yash talking to Melody on seeing what she is going to do. Melody says she has to put up Yash. Devens uses the veto on himself and Melody replaces him with Yash. Now we have a high drama vote on what happens here???!!! Can Dee survive again? Will the shot be taken at Yash? We see Drew being talked to by Devens and Dee seeing which way he’s going with his vote as we know Drew is the swing vote. Devens votes to evict Yash. Taylor votes to evict Dee. That leaves Drew who walks in and pauses struggling on what to do with his vote. He votes out……..Yash. WOW!!! 2-1 Yash is evicted from the Big Brother house. Dee and Devens sit on the eviction block two Thursdays in a row and both escape. Just incredible!!
Post eviction. We had Devens and Drew talking to one another with Drew pushing final three of the two of them and Melody. Devens says he’s down for it. Dee camera talks celebrating where she says she can’t believe she is still here. She talks of Drew saying she thanks him but says why in the world would he keep me cause that’s so silly? She says her perfect final three is her, Devens, and Melody and then she cuts Devens at three taking Melody to final two. Dee and Devens talk later celebrating over the craziness of the night. The feeds go down and come back after a bit talking about a curse being unleashed. There are buttons in different rooms around the house. If someone hits the button, they win $10,000 but unleash a curse on the house. Devens pushed the button and got the $10,000. The curse is called Pharaoh’s Curse and it means someone will be evicted in three days so we’ll have a week’s worth of Big Brother in three days. Sounds like someone will be evicted on Sunday. Everyone starts to go to bed so it looks like we are done for the night. Narrator: we are not done for the night. The feeds go down in the night and return around 3:30am BB time with a “tiny veto” HOH comp underway. Part of the competition plays out live on the feeds for about an hour and then the feeds go back down. Devens looked to be close to getting the win when the feeds went down. When the feeds return, the houseguests are getting into bed and we still don’t know a winner. We expect Devens to be confirmed as the HOH winner based on how close he was and we get that when the camera starts zooming in on Devens face on the memory wall and on him in bed. Devens is confirmed as the HOH for the week.
