Hey everyone. I’m starting with tonight’s Big Brother 6. It was a wild week in the Big Brother house with Maggie as HOH. Maggie put up James and Kaysar for eviction. There was a lot of movement in the alliances with people trying to play both sides. The alliances pretty much held true except for James who has been bouncing back and forth for weeks. Sarah won the veto as it was literally a battle between the two sides on who could get the veto. Sarah won it and of course used it on her boyfriend James so he was off the block. Maggie then put up Janelle against Kaysar. Kaysar was voted off with a 7-1 vote. It was then announced to the houseguests that one of the evictees will be returning next week. 4 people have been voted out of the house so far. Julie Chen said that Ashlea had left the sequestered house so she will be ineligible. I guess she just didn’t want to return?? So, the choices are Michael, Eric, and Kaysar. The best part is it is America’s choice. We get to vote on who returns next week. My plea to all of you is anyone but Eric! I’m going to vote for Kaysar although putting Michael back in there would be fun too. Go to CBS.com to vote on the houseguest you want to return next week. I love that Maggie and crew were all thinking that Eric is coming back. America for the most part doesn’t like Eric. Not from what I’ve seen anyway. Eric was interviewed on House Calls last Friday and the conversation with him and Marcellas got heated at times with Marcellas calling him out on a lot of stuff he had said or done. Howie won HOH tonight so it will be interesting to see what he does. I have to think that James’ days are numbered as people have figured out what he is doing with bouncing from side to side and lying a lot. To close out this Big Brother talk, I have a plea for the remainder of the Eric group. Will you please play your own game? I am so sick and tired of hearing let’s do what Eric would have done. Play your own game!!!
Here is some good news for the people that haven’t gotten all of the Buffy DVD box sets. For the rest of us, well, it does nothing for us. ha ha. They are re-releasing all 7 seasons of Buffy on DVD in a big box set that will retail for $199 but it will obviously go cheaper than that if you look around. It will be released on November 15th. It will be a 40 disc box set that will include a special disc that will have a new documentary from Joss Whedon. So, that’s kind of lame that they are going to give out something new and kind of leave us left out that have already bought all the box sets. Maybe they will sell it separate or something. It is a great thing though for the people that are still following the series and haven’t bought them yet. I bet you’ll be able to get it for around $140-160 in stores. James Marsters says that Joss Whedon has called him to talk to him about a Spike movie so that is some progress there. Speaking of Spike, I forgot to mention this but Best Buy has an exclusive Best Of Spike DVD that you can’t get anywhere else. It is $14.99 and includes 3 episodes if I remember right. I think there is also a documentary thing on Spike on the DVD too.
Best Buy also has an exclusive on Season 2 of Tru Calling. From what I understand, they are the only place where you can buy the second season. The season is only 6 episodes. I tried watching the first episode and just couldn’t really get into it. It seemed like a good show though but just not my cup of tea. I know some of you are fans of the show so get over to Best Buy. The final season of Roswell hits stores this Tuesday. I highly recommend that show if you haven’t seen it. Very sad to see that show be canceled. Season 3 of Home Improvement has a release date of November 22nd. The 6th season of the Simpsons will be in stores on August 16th. The box art for the set is very cool. Saved By The Bell The New Class continues to be released to DVD. Season 4 will be in stores on August 16th. I loved the New Class. I have a tendency now to rather watch the College Years or the New Class as I just got tired of the original with how many times it has aired. I still like it though, don’t get me wrong.
If you are wanting to buy season 1 of the Cosby Show on DVD, I would hold off until I can confirm something for you that might make you give it a second thought. I was going to buy it quickly but found out that they possibly put the syndicated version of the show on the DVD instead of the NBC originals. I have read a review of it and word has gotten out but I want to hear some more reviews to be sure before I get riled up and go off about it. Stay tuned next week as I’ll go into it further detail about another one of my annoyances with TV on DVD besides the music problems.
