What’s up everybody? Here is the relaunch as it was good to take a break and get away from it for a little while. I have decided that I need to take some breaks every so often and refuel. To be honest, there hasn’t been much to talk about anyway with it being summer but that has changed with my TV obsession Big Brother back on TV for another summer.
Big Brother 7. Yep, I’ve got the live feeds this year. I will below have a feature called “What You Missed On The Feeds This Week”. The first week of the season is in the books and the eviction episode was tonight. Janelle and Jase won the Heads of Household last week. They nominated Alison and Danielle for eviction. Janelle won the veto and did not use it. Tonight saw Alison evicted on a 8-2 vote. The two votes to evict Danielle came from Diane and Nakomis. No surprise to see Alison gone just by how things had went on the live feeds. There was some amazing strategy being played on Tuesday night as both Danielle and Alison were working deals trying to get votes. I’ll get more into that in a second with stuff that happened on the live feeds. I can’t believe I’m saying this cause Alison was my least favorite houseguest ever but I’m kind of bummed that she got voted off. Say what you will but she is good TV. She would have definitely made it interesting. Now, with her gone and Kaysar now HOH, I am kind of concerned that Will is going up next and might go out. That would be two strong players out immediately. Thoughts on the first week? Ok, brilliant idea by Danielle on the 2 HOH’s idea to have them not agree to get one of the HOH’s out. Bad idea to try and play that hard way too early. It almost got her evicted quickly. It did get Alison evicted. Chicken George? Poor guy. He is this nice guy in there with some huge players in this game that played a different Big Brother game than it was in season 1. The reaction of Marcellas to the slip and slide moment with Howie and George was hilarious. The looks that Marcellas gets on his face are always good. I don’t really have anyone that I am pulling for just yet but I have players that I want to stick around for a while to keep it interesting. I would like to see that season 6 alliance get broken up a little before they gang up on the house although I like many of them. I think James will end up jumping though. I would like to see Howie gone as he is way too arrogant of a player for a guy that cost his alliance the game last season.
What you missed on the BB7 live feeds this week: First off, these feeds are addicting as can be and this will greatly change my sleep schedule for the next 3 months. ha ha. That is what is great about this show, it never stops. Second, I am amazed at the stuff that they are leaving off of the show. Tonight, they showed Alison working for votes. They showed George talking to Danielle and he agreeing to vote out Alison. Well, what wasn’t shown was then Alison got in his ear and was working him hard for a vote. He then started to sway his vote that way. This made Danielle furious and she called George on it a few minutes later and he told Danielle that he caught her in a lie which bothered him making him second guess his vote. Alison was all over the place and then went to Erika trying to work a deal with her. I also need to say that I check a site that updates the feeds constantly with what is going on so I can see if there is something else going on with a different camera that I need to check out. I then see “I think Alison is hiding in a pot on camera one”. What??!! I switch to feed one and there she is hiding in this pot by the kitchen listening to conversations. It was hilarious. She had a pillow over the top of her where she couldn’t be seen and then you could see her watching houseguests as they went by. I never did see how she got out of there as they switched to another camera. Suddenly, she popped up in another room. I will give both of them credit cause they were working hard and the vote was split at one point. Talking about lies though? They were lying their tails off that night trying to get votes. It was amazing to watch. There was a great kickball game on Sunday night that was a ton of fun to watch. The game went for about an hour. They had a problem with losing kickballs due to them landing up on the roof. The second game later that night ended in the 3rd inning when Janelle kicked the ball up on the roof. I can’t believe that didn’t make the show either as that provided a lot of laughs and they were having a ton of fun!! Alison bashed her forehead into something during the veto competition and had ice on her head the next few days after the competition. I thought for sure they would show it on the show but only showed her with the ice and no explanation. I can’t even count how many times a day that Howie sees George and says “you know, you’re all right Georgie”. To which, George replies with “I know Howie”. I heard it twice within a span of 10 minutes the other night. I’ve heard it 5 times in the last 15 minutes as I have the feeds on in the background now. Howie also was teaching George how to be a Jedi the other day. Will and Boogie had a big game talk on Monday afternoon discussing strategy such as who to vote out with Alison or Danielle. They were in the HOH room discussing things and watching on the spy screen to make sure no one would walk in on their discussion. Boogie said that James is a floater still and that James told them that he was with season 6 for now cause they had the numbers. Danielle and Nakomis had a really good game and then life conversation on Tuesday morning before the other houseguests were up and awake. They just talked outside on the patio and it was really interesting hearing them comparing lives and just talking about life in general. Good stuff. All was quiet in the house last night for the most part with voting being yesterday morning. Just a time for everyone to relax. Lots of sports being played. Alison was taught how to play pool. Marcellas, Boogie, Will, Danielle, and Howie were all up in one room telling stories for a long time. These were very funny stories for the most part. They told stories about going to events with Survivor contestants and all. Marcellas said how different that the BB people were from Survivor people as the BB people are real quiet and kind of reserved while Survivor is the opposite. I watched that whole thing for a long time. Interesting conversations between houseguests before the first veto challenge. Everyone was sitting around discussing various seasons of the show. Nakomis and Danielle talked about the twins on BB5. Nakomis said that they were cool until they got power and then completely changed and then they didn’t want to hang around anybody. Danielle asked if they ever considered taking one of the twins to the end but Nakomis said that they didn’t want to take a chance of either of them winning it. Danielle said how funny it was that how things change toward the end of the game with how when people realize that they can’t win that you automatically start figuring out who you’d like to see win. Again, I am amazed at what good stuff has not made the broadcast. It’s a shame really cause the feeds have been very entertaining.
Pirates of the Caribbean 2 opened up HUGE at the box office. It drew $135.6 million in three days!! It set a record easily for a three day opening beating Spiderman that opened at $114.8 million. It became the first movie ever to gross $100 million in 2 days. It defeated Star Wars Episode 3 for first day opening too as Star Wars had $50 million for the record but this movie did $55 million in its opening day. The only record it didn’t pass was the first Saturday record. Shrek 2 still holds that with $44.8 million as Pirates got $44.4 million just missing the mark.
One of my new features is a TV on DVD release schedule for every upcoming Tuesday. Anyone see the new show on VH-1 called World Series Of Pop Culture? That is a fun show and I look forward to watching that more in the future. I am good at it depending on categories. It’s nice to be able to use this absolutely useless pop culture knowledge for something. ha ha. I was excellent in TV theme songs but not so good in actors as cartoon voices. I think I only got one right in that category. Fun show.
I just want to give a big recommendation to iTunes. I liked it anyway but I am now an iTunes subscriber. If you are unfamiliar with it, songs are 99 cents to download. You can burn the songs you download to a CD. They also offer music videos, TV shows, and plenty of podcasts. If you are a podcast person, definitely check out their selection as there has to be something on there that interests you.
The Transformers movie teaser trailer has been released. Eh. The teaser is ok but really gives no look at what the movie is going to be like or look like. Something does transform but that is it. If you want to see it, just search around on the internet. It was on You Tube but not sure if it still is.
I saw X3 on its opening weekend. I have to say that this is a really good movie. I loved it. I don’t know the story from the comics, cartoons, or previous movies so my opinion isn’t much compared to the diehard fans. I know several people haven’t liked the story that do follow the comics. I haven’t seen the first two movies so I was going into this one without knowing much. I found it pretty easy to catch up with the story and I was hooked on it about 15 minutes in. Really liked that movie!
To close out their final night of programming on the WB, the WB is going to air pilot episodes of several of their bigger hits of shows including Buffy, Angel, Dawson’s Creek, and Felicity. This will happen on Sunday, September 17th. That is a really fun way to go out and it will be fun to watch. I’ve seen the pilots of all of the shows but I’m in to watch all the programming that night. Sounds fun. Where is Gilmore and 7th Heaven? Well, the WB is saying that they are not included due to the shows still continuing on the CW Network. Makes sense.
Ben Wallace coming to the Chicago Bulls? Oh yeah. Loving that. There is that defensive presence that we needed along with a center.
I’m sure most of you have heard of You Tube. It is a video site where people will post videos of pretty much anything. To be honest, I find this site a little scary sometimes with what gets posted on there. There is a lot of good stuff on it though and I thought this would be a fun feature for the Wrap Up every week where I’ll pick out a video clip on there for you to check out. Not all will be TV related. The first one is one that I know several of you have already seen but I thought this would be a funny one to start with especially for the ones that haven’t seen this. Keep in mind that if you are on a slower connection that some of these videos every week may take a little while to load.
My You Tube Video Of The Week: Japanese Funnies. How do they get away with doing this stuff? Unreal. LOL

That is all for this week.
