Big Brother All Stars. Interesting week in the Big Brother house. Good episodes this week and the feeds have been entertaining too. Wow, Kaysar’s nominations this week? Hmm, I don’t think it was a very good move. It just didn’t make much sense for him to not go after Chilltown. I have to agree that Diane and Nakomis are this two person alliance who haven’t even shown signs of aligning with anyone else so for him to target them was just kind of confusing. It’s kind of like everyone is afraid to make a big play this week. Well, most of them. I think Chilltown is the only one that would take a risk right now. Cracks are starting to show in that BB6 alliance as I think Kaysar is the only one happy about his nominations this week. The rest of the group can’t stand the picks and have been speaking up about it all week. James and Kaysar have had words all week disagreeing over the BB6 strategy. I watched them talk for about 45 minutes on Tuesday night disagreeing on pretty much everything. Chilltown has got paranoia running through that house. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if the deal with Chilltown by Kaysar ends up helping him out or if it comes back to get him. Nakomis was evicted tonight on an 8-2 vote. I’m assuming that Chilltown together were the two votes to evict Diane. Winning HOH tonight was James. Hmm, that is going to be interesting especially with how vocal he has been all week on strategy. Let’s see what he does. I’m glad that they finally showed the Jedi training clip with Howie and George on TV. That was funny stuff to see. From what I’ve heard, people are having real difficulty in watching the Big Brother episodes online that CBS is showing for free on CBS.com. People with high speed connections are having trouble and I’ve actually seen this trouble first hand too. Some kind of glitch in that new system that they are using to view episodes. I had trouble trying to watch House Calls too. One thing that is unusual for me is that I have yet to watch House Calls this season. I’m too busy watching the feeds to turn them off to watch House Calls.
What You Missed On The Feeds This Week: Lots of talk about this rumored Mr. and Mrs. Smith alliance of Jase and Diane. Supposedly this was something that was started before the show but it has yet to show if it is happening. This has been talked about a lot and Kaysar is convinced that the alliance is true. This was about all that was talked about on Tuesday night. Tuesdays have become the most entertaining live feed night with it being the night before the voting takes place. The houseguests have now moved on to another game to entertain themselves. Saturday night saw them playing a fun game of charades in the back yard. The only ones not playing were Janelle, Jase, Kaysar, and James who were talking strategy in the house. Marcellas had a tough time getting people to get Predator as they were doing movie charades. Wild Saturday night as the guys were jumping in and out of the pool and it turned into a type of dodgeball game. All I know is that I saw Boogie get out of the pool chasing Howie down with a ball. He threw it and then ran back toward the pool and cause he was wet, he slipped on the cement around the pool. He landed on his back and just kind of slid into the pool. It looked like it hurt bad!! Then, we got flames and I thought uh oh, they’re in trouble. ha ha. We saw flames for about 10 minutes as the feeds remained turned off. The feeds came back and Boogie was nowhere to be found. He showed up a few minutes later as he had been called to the diary room. He said they just wanted to make sure that he was ok. He said that he was surprised that he wasn’t hurt worse with how bad the fall was. Boogie also had his birthday party over the weekend which meant alcohol came into play. He became very talkative and was really getting on people’s nerves with stuff that he said. Tempers started picking up that night in the house. Marcellas has been talking with the houseguests about doing their own soap opera in the house. They have been bouncing ideas around to each other. They are hoping that Big Brother will give them a camera to record it as they did with the houseguests in season 2. One funny moment from Sunday afternoon with several houseguests talking outside. James was in the house but the feed I was watching was outside. A very strict “James put on your microphone” is heard to which Jase says “don’t talk to me in that tone”. It was one of those you had to be there to think it was funny moments but everyone cracked up at it. Jase was bored the other night and planning to try and jump across the pool just to see if he could do it. The voice kept telling him to “stop it” and “Jase, I said stop that now”. Pretty funny. He never did try it. Instead of just getting the flames now on the feeds when producers block the feeds, they are now showing Big Brother trivia questions which is a cool idea. It gives you something to look at while you are waiting for the feeds to return. Lots of clouds over the BB house this week as there was rain around the area there in LA. The houseguests were all surprised sitting in the backyard seeing how cloudy it was. It would be really strange to see it rain as I can’t remember it raining much during Big Brother season. It seems like it did once that I can think of but not recent years.
The CMA Fest special will be shown on ABC this Monday night at 8pm. This will be a highlight type show of performances from the CMA Fest in Nashville.
Filming is now underway on Survivor Cook Islands. It started at the beginning of this month.
That movie “John Tucker Must Die” looks good from the previews of it. I’ll see it when it comes out on DVD as I am a rare visitor to the theatre.
I’ve spoken about how I could easily get into the show Laguna Beach on MTV. Well, that holds true with the spinoff of that show, The Hills. I have watched bits and pieces of that show and I could easily get into it too. I’ve still got to watch the first two seasons of Laguna Beach.
I love the new Mac commercials with the “I’m a Mac and I’m a PC”. They are very well written and smart ads but also very true ads. If you haven’t seen them, you can check them out here as there are several different ones. http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/
The lowest weekly TV ratings ever recorded happened a few weeks ago on the week of the 4th of July. The average for the four big networks, CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox, was 20.8 million viewers “during the average prime time minute”. The previous record was the same week a year ago which was 21.5 million. Lots of reruns are being shown so there wasn’t much new on TV that week. The only show that got over 10 million viewers that week was an episode of America’s Got Talent on NBC.
Top movies at the box office last weekend were: 1. Pirates Of The Carribean – $62.1 million; 2. Little Man – $21.7 million; 3. You, Me, and Dupree – $21.3 million; 4. Superman Returns – $11.4 million; 5. The Devil Wears Prada – $10.4 million.

A couple of American Idol notes to pass along. American Idol’s Chris Daughtry has signed a record deal with 19 Entertainment and Clive Davis. All of it is under the Idol umbrella. The album is expected to be released next year. Kellie Pickler was on the View this week as a guest co-host and announced that she has signed a deal with BNA Records out of Nashville and 19 Recordings. She expects to have a single out in September and then have an album out on November 14th. November 14th will see three season 5 Idol finalists release albums as from what I’ve heard, Kellie, Taylor Hicks, and Katharine McPhee will all release their albums on the same day. That will be an interesting music chart week!!
New episodes of Flip This House begin on Sunday July 23rd on A&E. I didn’t know if they were doing new episodes so this is great news. I love this show and this is one of those shows that I’ll watch over and over when a rerun airs. This is a reality show about a company in South Carolina that specializes in purchasing houses that are somewhat run down and then fixing them up to sell. The people on the show are fun to watch along with the amazing work that they do on houses. I would definitely recommend this show to watch.
I happened to be flipping around the radio stations on the way home from work last night and landed on the local St. Louis Cardinals radio station. They were talking about this storm that had just blasted through St. Louis. I had seen this storm on the radar earlier and it was unusually heading southwest. It was amazing to hear the commentators talk about how nasty this storm was. 92 mph winds. Concession stands were messed up. The groundskeepers tried to get the tarp out there as fast as they could and did a good job but the wind was so strong that it tore the tarp. The commentators also said that they had a tractor on top of the part of the tarp that was ripped and the wind was so strong that the back of the tractor was lifting off the ground. The rain was just pounding down and it did some damage to the field delaying the game with the Cardinals and Braves. Home plate was drenched with rain. They said that they had never seen weather like that at a sporting event especially with how the wind kept changing directions as they watched the flags in the stadium. Wild night in St. Louis!! Glad everyone is ok.
There was a charity auction in the last week for a lunch date with Jessica Biel. Jessica was looking to raise money for medical expenses for a teenager who lost her leg as a result of a limousine accident on prom night. The winning bid? $30,000. The date was just part of the auction event that raised a total of $38,000.
NBC is offering the first episode of Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip and the first episode of Kidnapped to Netflix customers several weeks before they premiere on TV. Both shows will be put on to one DVD and Netflix customers will be able to get this DVD when it becomes available on August 5th. Netflix is going to get some advertising on NBC also out of this deal.
The You Tube Video Of The Week: Triumph attends the Star Wars Attack Of The Clones premiere. Ok, I am a Star Wars fan but this is funny stuff. Even Star Wars fans haven’t been offended by this with how funny it is. This is Triumph from the Conan O’Brien show. I’ll never forget watching this for the first time as I was cracking up laughing at it.
