Tonight’s Big Brother saw Jase and Will on the nomination block with Jase going home on a 9-0 vote. Jase once again goes home without being able to compete for the veto. He was part of the six finger plan in season 5 where he wasn’t nominated and then was put up after the veto ceremony as a way to get rid of him guaranteed. The plan of James backfired big time this week and Jase was the one that ended up being the plan B of sorts. George saved himself as he won veto in an amazing veto ceremony that also saw Kaysar’s head shaved. James puts up Jase in George’s place which pretty ensures Jase going home. Jase made a big scene in the backyard after he found out and the whole thing exploded in an argument. It was wild!! Jase was hinting big at coming back which continues the speculation of whether a booted houseguest will return to the game as in previous seasons. They have talked about this a ton on the live feeds as everyone pretty much thinks it will happen. I’m not so sure. Alison and Nakomis have been doing interviews and they usually lock them down if they might return as a game twist. Head of household goes to season 6 once again. Ugh!!!! Janelle won it for the second time this season. Nothing against Janelle. I’m just ready for someone other than season 6 to win it. Great episode on Tuesday night!! Episode of the season. That might be the best veto ceremony ever. I loved Will’s speech where instead of kissing up, he told everyone how he hated all of them. It’s funny cause no one even takes him seriously cause you know what you get with Will. Other thoughts from the shows this week. Boogie’s sleep talking? Hilarious!!! It doesn’t even make sense what he is saying. What language is he speaking? ha ha. Anyone else have Jase’s “blow up intertube” jingle stuck in their heads? That was funny too. Interesting chat that I read of Lisa from Big Brother 3 this week where she talks about All Stars. She reveals that there was a secret alliance set up before the show and that it has yet to be shown in the BB house. No one has a clue about it except the ones that are in it. Hmm, it will be interesting to see who that is as she says that the alliance is not obvious at all. She says that the Mr. and Mrs. Smith alliance does exist as it was Diane and Jase along with Alison. Interesting to note that Will on the live feeds last weekend said that the only way he heard of Mr. and Mrs. Smith was when the producers asked him about it in the diary room. Could that be true or is Will just throwing around comments like always?
What You Missed On The Live Feeds This Week: One thing that I have noticed with listening to Danielle and that is that she knows this game and show inside and out. They will get to talking about another season and she can remember everything about every season and where players messed up. That’s a scary opponent in this game of all stars. On TV, they kind of downplayed the incident with James catching George listening in on the conversation with James and Janelle. This was what really got the ball rolling on George going up for eviction. James was furious after the veto ceremony claiming that Big Brother rigged the veto competition for George to win. He was just going off for the longest time about it. George and James did come to a peace a little bit later on though where James admitted that he underestimated George by thinking what kind of player that he is. Kaysar and James both said that no matter what it was that he had to do that George was going to win that veto. They earned a lot of respect for him. James was also apologizing several times to his girlfriend and houseguest from last season, Sarah, saying that he messed up the game. James said his plan got thrown out completely and it backfired meaning now he was put in a horrible position of having to go back on his word to Jase. Jase did go off in the backyard about the nomination which was seen on TV. The veto ceremony has been something that has been talked about a ton and there is a video of the reenactment that the houseguests did of it a little while after it occurred that is really funny.
One thing that was left out was Will saying how no one even congratulated George on winning the veto. Also, Jase immediately took George’s spot in the chair after George got up. BB came over the speakers demanding Jase go back to the other chair so they could tape him officially being put up. If you look on the show Tuesday night, you can clearly see Jase move into the chair and then it goes to a different shot where he is back in the seat he was in. Ah, the good old live feeds and live feed recappers.
Big Brother Line Of The Week: “I think I’m getting a good night sleep and suddenly 8 Mile breaks out in my bedroom”: Will speaking about the night of Boogie’s birthday where everyone started rapping in the bedroom.
I have this to all of you that read my recommendation on Flip This House last week. I built up the new season premiere and out of nowhere the group on the show was changed. I had no clue that they were going to have a new group and actually neither did most of the fans of the show. The new episode is based on a group out of San Antonio. I was so disappointed when I saw that it was a new group on the show. I just wasn’t crazy about this new group at all. I went over to the A&E website and people are FURIOUS over there. A&E apparently had the announcement up on the site of new episodes but mentioned nothing about a new group. The South Carolina group, Trademark Properties, was still up on the site. The backlash has been big against A&E over this with them promoting a new season without bothering to mention that Trademark wasn’t in the new season. They have been hammered with emails and messages on the message board. Other things of interest with this is that even after the new episode premiered that Trademark was still shown on the Flip This House part of A&E’s website with no mention of the new crew. Now, the site is gone and the message boards are not easy to find either. They don’t have a place to point your way to it but you instead have to search for it. Richard Davis, the head of Trademark Properties, said that he has been hit with tons of emails and phone calls trying to figure out what has happened. He did have this to say in the Charleston newspaper. “I could not have dreamt up how supportive people have been about this. If America really liked the other show better, I’d lick my wounds and move on.” Richard has filed a lawsuit against A&E citing fraud, breach of contract, and seven other counts where he says the show idea and show name was said to be Richard’s so this is why the suit has been filed. The rumor is that A&E was trying to take too much control of the show and Richard had enough of them. He has shopped the show around and is taking the show to TLC at a later date. A&E originally had two episodes set to air this Sunday. One was a rerun of the Trademark episode of “The Stakeout” at 6pm and the next episode was a new episode of the San Antonio group at 7pm. The Stakeout episode which is set to air at 6pm was actually the episode that got me hooked on this show. I recommend that one but skip the San Antonio crew’s show. I keep hearing different things on whether the shows will air or not where it disappears and reappears on the site. I did find out that Richard owns the name Flip This House and that the show was his project. So, is the site being pulled off due to the Trademark situation with their rights to the show or is it cause of fan backlash? I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see.
Here are the movie box office numbers for last weekend. 1. Pirates of the Caribbean 2: $35 million; 2. Monster House $23 million; 3. Lady In The Water $18.2 million; 4. You, Me and Dupree $12.8 million; 5. Little Man $11 million
Two big punches were delivered to Saturday Night Live this week. Tina Fey announced that she will not be returning to the show so she can concentrate on her new show, 30 Rock. Rachel Dratch also announced that she is leaving SNL for the same reason. Fey and Amy Poehler recently formed the first female duo to host Weekend Update on SNL and were very entertaining. SNL is going to try out some different teams and then decide who will get to host Weekend Update.

In what continues to be the fall of the popularity of magazines, it was announced that after almost 10 years that Teen People will no longer be published. This is another in a long list of troubles for magazines. The internet has put a beating on people buying magazines especially subscriptions. News is out there immediately on the internet and often when you buy magazines, you’ve already heard the news unless it is a magazine exclusive interview or something like that. I expect them to just start giving away subscriptions before it’s over just to get people to read them. Who will be the person to be on the cover of the last issue? None other than Carrie Underwood.
In the “it’s about time” news coming out of TV on DVD for the week, there are some announcements that people have been waiting on including me for sure!! The first seasons of Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place will be released on November 7th. 90210 will be a 6 disc set. Melrose Place will be an 8 disc set. Nothing on extras or anything yet. Just have a release date. It’s about time is all I can say!! I don’t know if I’ll buy the first season of Melrose as I just wasn’t that crazy about the first season. Things really picked up in the second season. 90210 on the other hand? Great from the beginning. I prefer the high school seasons to the later seasons but loved it all. The other news which I have also been wondering about revolves around Seinfeld. Jason Alexander spoke at a festival last week and the rumor is that he said that seasons 7 and 8 of Seinfeld would be released right before Thanksgiving. If it is true, that would be consistent with the releases in previous years. Can’t wait for November!!
November 7th will see the re-release of Transformers The Movie to DVD. This will be a 20th year anniversary edition and word is that it is going to a widescreen format release not seen since the movie was in theatres.
Carrie Underwood will be joining the fall leg of Brad Paisley’s current tour.
Spiderman 3 is not only going to premiere in regular theatres on May 4, 2007 but they are also going to open that same day in IMAX theatres.
I was flipping through the channels one day and found this show on Discovery Channel called Cash Cab. It is a reality game show. What happens is that there is this guy who is the host that drives this cab around New York City and picks up people who are looking for a cab ride. When the people get in, they are told about this game deal. He asks them random questions which can be pop culture, sports, history, or really anything. The more questions you get right, the more money you make. You have three strikes meaning that you can only get three questions wrong to which from what I understand means that you have to stop and get out of the cab. They have something kind of like a phone a friend option. You can call someone to help with a question and you also have another option where you can ask somebody on the street to help you. You can keep building up money until you get to your location that you provided on where you were going. When you get to your location, the host then gives you the option of double or nothing. You can gamble on a video question but if you get it wrong, you leave with nothing. I found this to be a fun show and is a cool idea. Check that show out too if you get the chance. Another one of those shows where I can use this useless pop culture knowledge of mine.
