First up, did I get Smallville done? You might remember that my goal was to have Smallville done by the Superman Celebration so that I didn’t get any spoilers over there. Goal achieved!! I don’t know how in the world that I did it cause I realized about 2 weeks ago that I was running out of time and only midway through season two and just kind of taking my time through the series. I completely knew that I wouldn’t get it all watched and decided I’d just try and get as much watched as I could. After I finished season three in a weekend, I knew I could make a run at it and thought, hey, why not? I’ll go for it. Yesterday morning saw me wrap up season six and I’m up to date on it. Let’s recap. I started season three two weekends ago and finished it on Sunday night. I started season four on Monday, Memorial Day. I got season five finished in two days last weekend. This week, I got all of season six wrapped up and finished the last three episodes yesterday morning. Go me!!! I am taking a bow on that TV watching beauty!! I’ve always thought I was slow at getting stuff watched so the fact that I did this so quickly makes me feel that I can get stuff watched if I really put my mind to it. Today is actually the first day in a couple of weeks that I haven’t watched at least one episode of Smallville. About 100 episodes watched in two and a half weeks. Not bad!!
First, I’ll cover my thoughts on season six of Smallville and my thoughts on the cliffhangers that we got on the season finale. I am now officially a Smallville fanatic. I love this show. After seeing the season finale, I’m stuck for a few months like all you normal people waiting for the next episode. LOL. What is up with that? The cliffhangers weren’t anything for me in the past as all I had to wait was hours instead of months.
I’ve got some spoilers in here about season six for anyone that may have not seen all of season six yet so….spoiler alert!!! My thoughts and theories on the season finale. I kept hearing that someone was going to be killed off. I am thinking that if it is true and someone is killed off that it is going to be Chloe. What is up with that??!! I’ll be mad if it is!! When we last saw Chloe, she found Lois who appeared to be dead at the dam. A tear fell from Chloe’s cheek and landed on Lois. It seems that the tear somehow may have exchanged life for life with Lois sitting up and healed. Lois then found an unresponsive Chloe sitting up against the wall. Earlier in the seasons, we learned that Chloe has some meteor rock in her so maybe she had some power that she didn’t know about. That could help her survive. My theory on Lana is that she is ok. Lex was arrested for her murder. Lana had ended the marriage with Lex and was heading out of town for her own safety cause she didn’t know what Lex might do. Lionel tried to persuade her not to leave and did catch up to her. She went for the vehicle anyway and then it exploded with Lionel watching. A bomb blew up it up. My theory on Lana is did you see that delivery truck that passed right before the explosion? I think she jumped on to that and wasn’t in the explosion. I think she made it out of town. The question is who was behind the explosion cause Lex sure wasn’t admitting to doing it. The phantom got into Clark and made another Clark. After the fight, Clark landed in the water as the phantom flew off looking just like him. Now, we have to keep waiting for season seven. Other thoughts from the season. The Justice episode in season six was flat out awesome!!! This was the much talked about Justice League episode and it was worth the hype. I wasn’t crazy about the dream sequence episode which saw Clark in a mental institution where he thought he had dreamed his whole life to that point. Instead of what had happened to that point, the doctors in the place were telling him that he had made all those things up. This was almost EXACTLY like a Buffy episode where she was in a mental institution where her parents were trying to tell her that everything wasn’t real. Hey, Chloe got a guy. About time that something good happened to her!! It’s sad to see Chloe always having to play second fiddle to Lana but I was happy to see that she got to be Clark’s sidekick with knowing his secret. Now, Lana knows so it’s a bummer that she doesn’t have that exclusive thing with Clark anymore. Lionel comes over the good side. That was a cool twist and we also got a look at Lex heading over to the dark side. Please, no more red kryptonite episodes. LOL. I have seen so many of those in the last couple of weeks that it is becoming the Smallville version of 90210’s Dylan heading back to the drinking storyline where I always groaned when you knew where they were going. It’s probably not so bad but I was running a gauntlet and seeing episodes closer together than everyone else. LOL. The last one I saw had me thinking, NOT AGAIN, but then realizing that it had been a full season since it had happened although I had just seen it days before. Bring on season seven in the fall!!
