Big Brother 8. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are down to the final two after tonight’s episode and it didn’t go as I wanted if the UGH didn’t give it away. The final two has been set with Dick and Daniele. Here is how the schedule will play out for the rest of the season. Sunday’s episode appears to be a best of season 8 episode so if you want to see the craziness of this season wrapped up in an hour, tune in on Sunday night. The finale is on Tuesday night when we’ll see the jury question Dick and Daniele and then vote on who wins BB8. We’ll also get the reunion of the cast and Eric will be revealed to the cast as America’s Player. It should be a wild finale. Let’s get into how all this played out this week. Last week, we had the final four set when Jessica and Eric were voted out in a fast forward episode. Dick did make a last minute deal with Jameka to keep her in the house over Jessica. He basically said that they own her for the rest of the stay in the house on votes. Before the HOH competition, we hear talk from Dick and Daniele about being done with Zach and how they are ready to boot him out. The HOH competition took place which came down to Zach and Daniele. Zach won it by one point!! Jameka looked to be alone in the house. The tide changed however when Zach started to think about making a power play and putting up Dick and Daniele. Zach talked to Jameka with the two of them teaming up. Daniele goes to talk to Zach and she definitely gets the vibe from him that he is going to put Daniele up against her dad on the block. She definitely gives him a guilt trip over it. She goes and tells Dick that it looks like they are going up. Dick is furious over this and later goes off on Zach saying that they had his back. He said that they had a final three agreement and that Zach turned on them. OK?? Let’s flash back a bit here. They were set to turn on Zach and had it all set until Zach won HOH. Never mind the fact that they bad mouthed him for weeks and couldn’t wait to turn on him. They’re mad at being “turned on” when they just turned on their final four alliance sending Eric and Jessica out the door. Daniele said to Jen that she had her back. She said the same thing to Kail. She said the same thing to Amber. Who has been turning on who? Everyone lies in this game but why are their lies ok and other people can’t lie? I was pumped that Zach was finally going to make a move although it was one day late. If Zach had used that veto during the fast forward, Daniele would have been out of the house last week instead of Eric. Zach does put up Dick and Daniele for eviction. The veto winner has the power of the only vote of who to evict. The most important veto of the game goes to Daniele. Dick immediately yells all about the win right at Zach. On Tuesday’s live episode, Jameka is voted out of the house. The final three comes down to Zach, Dick, and Daniele. They have part one of the HOH competition that sees them having to hang on to a key as they stand out in the yard with a mobile rabbit on a pole that they have to jump over with cold water blasting on them. The competition goes late in the night. Daniele has Dick go off on Zach to try and get him rattled. The stuff that was shown on the show tonight was the only tame stuff that could be shown. The stuff he was yelling was just horrible and embarrassing to be honest. I’ll get more into this competition with the live feeds section below as I watched it go on live. After almost three hours, Daniele is eliminated. Dick and Zach stand for several more hours. It really was incredible. Over 7 hours after the competition began, Zach finally wins when Dick finally has to give up. Dick made one incredible try at winning but Zach was clearly ready to stay as long as it took. The second part of the HOH competition takes place with Dick vs. Daniele. The winner faces Zach in part three. Dick wins easily over Daniele. That brings us to tonight’s live episode. We see part three take place which involves questions that the jury members were asked about the game. Zach and Dick had to guess what the jury member answered. Dick wins by one point and wins the final HOH. He evicts Zach and it is Dick and Daniele in the final two. Dick vs. Daniele. As the show went off, Dick talked about how they were the greatest team ever to play the game. Dick and Daniele, you have not been issued your Chilltown club card. LOL. America does get a say in who wins this game as you can vote on who you want Eric to vote for to win.
What You Have Missed Since The Live Show Ended: Honestly, I listened to the Dick and Daniele brag fest on the live feeds for about one minute and had to turn it off. LOL!!
Other Big Brother thoughts from the week. EW confirmed what we have been trying to figure out about Jameka’s DQ in last week’s Fast Forward veto competition. Green balls were only supposed to be picked up and put in the tube. Suddenly, a blue ball ended up in her tube and Julie Chen announced that Jameka had been DQ’d which she was furious about cause she said she didn’t do it. EW talked to someone with the show and found out that a ball did happen to bounce into her tube getting her DQ’d. The tape did show that. Wow, I don’t find that fair at all and Big Brother should have noticed that. They don’t make the best judgment calls most of the time. All of these cameras and they can’t catch that. They should have had Julie tell what happened and continue on with the competition. That episode on Sunday night showed the Daniele that I have seen on the feeds for the most part and shows why she is my least favorite person in the house. We FINALLY saw the jury house on Tuesday’s episode. I loved seeing them all watching who was coming in next. Nothing seems to have changed very much. Eric and Jessica hugged when they were reunited and Amber was still talking about good people winning to which we now know is only down to one person apparently and that was Jameka. Can you imagine being in that jury house and Jessica walks in followed by Eric a few minutes later? Unreal and I’m sure Jessica was thinking the same thing. Tonight showed that Eric and Jessica are still doing just fine in the jury house. They were all sad when Jameka walked in. There was this collective sigh when she walked in knowing who was left in the house.
What You Missed On The Live Feeds: Wow, I stayed up till 4am watching that first part of the HOH competition on Tuesday night on the live feeds. It wasn’t even over when I went to bed but I finally had to get to sleep. What was Daniele thinking wearing that little of clothing in an endurance challenge? They have dumped stuff on the houseguests in just about every one of these that I can think of this season. It still would have been cold but at least she wouldn’t have been in a sleeveless shirt and shorts. She was freezing and miserable out there. She would cry every time the water would kick back on while Dick was over there yelling at Big Brother about how this wasn’t anything. LOL. Line of the night on Jokers during the competition went to someone who posted “I feel stupid watching three adults hop around all night”. Two hours into the competition saw Dick go into a different strategy. Right at that two hour mark in time for the Big Brother After Dark show on Showtime, he started making all sorts of comments directed at Zach and his personal life. Daniele egged on Dick to do this and had a big grin on her face as this was going on. It seemed like they got desperate with how well Zach was doing. Just really classless stuff from Dick non-stop. Dick yelled for 40 minutes straight until 11:40 (central time). That was when Daniele was out at 11:40pm. What happened is that the rabbit pole started approaching kind of slow. She ended up stepping backwards a bit and slid off. The rabbit then stopped going around after that. It appears that the rabbit malfunctioned and then just stopped when Daniele made contact with it. Daniele could have stepped over it but instead slipped backwards. Daniele was bawling crying for a while and shivering bad. Interesting to note that I think the rain fell for probably 10 minutes straight before she finally fell. I wondered if Big Brother was just going to pound them with water until Dick stopped yelling. LOL. It kept falling after she was gone but Dick finally stopped yelling. Daniele headed inside to the shower. Dick stopped yelling for maybe five minutes. He then started in again saying he’d do this all night long and Zach just started laughing at him saying “I’m loving it dude”. Zach then started firing back at him and the look on Dick’s face at some of Zach’s comments CRACKED ME UP. He started mimicking Dick and laughed at him. Dick looked like he was going to give up by 3am. I kept waiting for him to stop and he finally got a second wind. Daniele did come back out and watch the rest of the competition. Zach looked like he was on a treadmill with how he was doing. He looked strong. Dick looked miserable!! I can’t imagine how bad it was to be up there that long with that cold on them. Other happenings of the week on the live feeds was that Dick complained to Big Brother saying that it wasn’t fair that he didn’t get any HOH stuff cause he was only HOH for about an hour. Big Brother gave him a letter from his family and a HOH CD. This letter turned out to be something in a type of code that he and his son, Vincent, had worked out. Dick told Daniele that they had come up with a code of a way for him to be told on people that he could not trust. The plan was for the first and last letter of each line to be the initials of a houseguest. They also had a plan of that if his alliance was good that there would be a note in there saying that either things were going well with his girlfriend of that they broke up. Problem was with this plan is that the letter was from a long time ago so it was completely dated. Dick’s son has also commented in the last week that Dick had it all messed up trying to figure out the code. LOL. He seems to think that the letter was talking about Eric and Jessica. Daniele did not have a good day last week with her mad over losing HOH by one point and then finding out the next day that Zach was looking to put her and Dick up on the block. Saturday night after the veto competition saw a lot of strategy talk among Dick, Jameka, and Zach. They basically talked about everything that had happened in the game to everyone. It was really a deal with them realizing the game is over and let every knowledge out. Really odd and I can’t remember this happening in year’s past. They had some things right and some wrong. I CANNOT WAIT till they reveal America’s Player to the rest of the house to show why Eric was doing some of the things that he did and how he did more in this game than they care to realize. Funny comment from the whole group talking about Eric and Jessica’s relationship and making fun of the little kiss that Eric got when she went out the door. Zach did this making fun laugh saying “that’s all he got”. WRONG AGAIN Zach. LOL.
My predictions: If only Zach had won tonight, I think he would have won the game. There is a jury house full of people that either Dick and Daniele turned on or Dick verbally went at. Dick and Daniele were so confident that Zach had no chance against them and I was REALLY looking forward to the look on their face when they lost. Now, it is down to Dick and Daniele. I think Daniele takes this based on her competition winnings over the season. Personal feelings could come into play allowing her to win as well if they are still mad over Dick’s actions in the house. Jury questioning should be fun as always. I just can’t believe that Big Brother is almost over. The withdrawal begins next week but it will be nice to get back to normal life. LOL!!
Big Brother Video Of The Week: Here is an awesome Eric and Jessica music video that someone made. I really missed them not being in the house on the live feeds this week.

The fall TV preview issue of Entertainment Weekly is out. I read a ton of it and here are some random thoughts for the fall season. They did a really good article on How I Met Your Mother. It really sounds like they are going to kick the show into high gear this season and I’m really looking forward to it. CBS.com has a countdown clock on the show’s site counting down to the remainder of the slaps from the Slap Bet episode last season. That is hilarious. Moving on to Heroes. Yep, I completely skipped over that cause I don’t really want to know where they are going this season with stuff. I’m trying to stay spoiler free. Smallville. I really like how they are setting up Supergirl’s arrival this season. They tell how she arrives and explain her age. Good stuff!! Maybe I need to give 30 Rock another chance. I watched the pilot of it last season and just kind of thought “eh”. I think I will watch the season premiere especially since it has Jerry Seinfeld guest starring on it. We’ll see if the show grabs me the second time around. I tend to think Gossip Girls on The CW will do well. There is a good write up on it in there. Carpoolers could be funny. I might give it a shot and see if it is any good. Cavemen is still going to have to prove me and a lot of other people wrong. I think the commercials are funny but I don’t know if it can be weekly sitcom length funny. The previews haven’t done much for me so far. Back To You has a lot of hype behind it on Fox starring Kelsey Grammar and Patricia Heaton. I expect it to do well. Kid Nation has received a ton of heat in the media and has a lot of controversy before the show even premieres. The show is basically having kids (ages 8-15) put in charge of a town and have to get it up and running. I tend to think the controversy will lead to some more viewers for the show. Earl is in jail on My Name Is Earl? I stopped watching the show about halfway through last season so that was news to me. Sounds like they are going to leave him in there for a little bit from what I read. Grey’s Anatomy looks to be trying to get a strong season four going after criticism over last season. Was it not a strong season? I don’t watch so you’ll have to tell me that. It did seem like the ABC stronghold shows did stumble last season creatively from everything I have heard in the last few months. The Simpsons enters its 19th season this year. Just amazing!! I really would like to watch that show more than I do. The Treehouse Of Horror episode is going to have Homer and Marge “moonlighting as assassins”. Friday Night Lights returns. NBC stuck with the low rated show and we’ll see how it pays off especially with the move to Friday nights. Moonlight on CBS? I’ve said this before but I’ve seen this show before and it was called Angel. Angel writer, David Greenwalt, was originally involved in the show but had to pull out of it for personal reasons. Even the promo shot of the show looks like Angel with the main character in a coat overlooking the city. Yeah, I’ll just stick with my Angel DVD’s. Overall with the new shows, there seems to be a lot of agreement among critics, fans, and the industry that some of these new shows could either do well or flop. Not much in between. I see myself mostly sticking to the shows I’ve been watching and not checking out very many new shows. With the way networks are so eager to cancel shows if they under perform after even one week, who can blame viewers for being weary of checking them out? I’ve seen too many shows get cancelled leaving fans who did watch with nothing and that is a HUGE turnoff for me. I am looking forward to seeing new episodes of my favorite shows!!
I’ve got to say that after talking to many of you and then also other friends, Heroes appears to be the most commonly watched show that I can remember in a long time. Usually, I have certain shows that I talk to certain people about but Heroes has drawn in a lot of you. I can talk about it to a majority of people.
A couple of Smallville notes in case you didn’t know. The 6th season is going to be released on DVD this Tuesday, September 18th. The 7th season premiere is set for Thursday, September 27th on The CW.
The SEASON finale of My Boys aired this week. I say season because TBS has picked up the show for a third season. Very happy about that. The last several episodes that I have watched have been very good. Really love this show. We were left with a cliffhanger on the finale. Who did PJ take with her to Italy? Whoever it was bumped her up to first class on the plane. That tells me that it is between three people. Either Matt (the Cubs player), Thorn (the reporter), or it could even be Bobby, who knows? I was kind of pulling for Evan but I don’t think it is likely after the guys mostly scared him off. My guess is Matt.
What happens when the duo of Lauren and Jason run into the duo of Heidi and Spencer on The Hills? We’ll find out next week as the previews definitely look interesting for next week’s episode.
Live With Regis and Kelly celebrates its 20th anniversary show tomorrow. Kathie Lee Gifford will be returning for the celebration. The anniversary clips have been fun to watch that they’ve shown over the last couple of weeks. I’ve been watching Live since around 1989 and I still love watching it every morning.
Variety is saying that several sources have told them that Apple may be talking about lowering TV downloads to 99 cents instead of $1.99. The networks are apparently not happy over that cause now people would be able to download the shows for the half the price of a DVD box set. The Apple point of view is that more people will download for that price and make up for the price change.
Brian K. Vaughn, who is writing several of the upcoming Buffy comics, did an interview with Wizard Entertainment about what his plans are for Faith in the series. I read some interesting things and thought I’d pass it along to you. Here is the setup for the Faith storyline with what he had to say: “Well, at the end of Season Seven, Buffy was nice enough to share her Slayer powers with hundreds of other young women, but as Faith knows better than anyone, just because you get great power doesnÃt always mean youÃll use it with great responsibility. So when a new evil Slayer hits the scene, Giles knows there Ãs only person he can turn to for a particularly nasty bit of wetworks” He was asked about how he and Joss Whedon work on the comics and said: “When he sends me his Runaways scripts, I usually write back a short note telling him how much I loved it and how perfect it was, and when I send him my Buffy scripts, he writes back a nice note saying how much he loved it and then includes 10 pages of detailed notes explaining how I can make it better. And the annoying part is that he Ãs always right! He Ãs definitely acting as a true Executive Producer on this book, and treating every issue of Season Eight as seriously as he treated every episode of the show. In ten years of writing comics, this is probably the hardest I’ve ever worked on something, but I think the story is much better for it. As am I.” I hope to have a review of the latest two issues of the season eight comic next week.
The complete title has been given to the new Indiana Jones movie. The movie will be called Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The O.C.’s Rachel Bilson is set to guest star on the new NBC series, Chuck
Jennifer Hudson has signed on to be in the Sex and the City movie.
The Closer on TNT set another record with the season finale as there were 9.1 million viewers who tuned in. This set the record for the highest rated series telecast in the history of ad supported cable.
Showtime has picked up Californication for a second season. The season appears to include 12 episodes.
How have the MTV Video Music Awards fallen so hard so fast? Do you remember when this was must see TV every year? I used to plan my schedule around watching that show every year. I don’t even remember the last one that I saw to be honest. The VMA’s ratings have fallen over the last few years including doing horrible last year. They changed the format this year. I actually remembered it was on this year and flipped over there from time to time just to see what was happening. I thought it looked terrible and got online to see what people were saying about it. Everyone else was saying the same thing. I don’t think I’ve read one comment yet on saying that the show was good. I’m glad I tuned out from that awards show years ago. Even their age demographic is turning on them. One theory that I was thinking about is that I wonder if people are rejecting the VMA’s because, as Justin Timberlake said on the show, they don’t show videos. It’s kind of odd having a music video awards show when you never see these videos that are nominated airing. They seem to show less and less videos every year. There are some days where they’ll show two hours of music videos around 4am. The ratings did come up 23% from last year’s award show which I’m sure probably centered around people interested in seeing the Britney Spears performance. If I’m MTV, I’m doing all I can to keep The Hills around cause that is their ratings getter right now.
