Last week, we sadly lost Turner and Megan with their elimination. We start off in Prague and we’re going to be off by train to Budapest, Hungary. This is Natalie’s birthday and they leave first after being given first as a gift in the last leg by Jag and Jas. There are two trains for options with one having three transfers and the other being straight through. The top four teams discuss try to figure out which train to take. Joseph and Adam run to Izzy and Paige happy to see them and to talk. When Jag and Jas show up in the convo, they notice that the convo kind of stopped with them saying Izzy and Paige clearly aren’t going to want to work with them and take note of it. Rubina and Kristine play it safe and go direct while the top placed teams decide to do the switches. Kat & Alex, Chelsie & Jack, Rubina & Kristine, and Taylor & Kyland all went direct so they can sleep and be a safe bet. The teams on the fast flight with the switches are miserable not sleeping saying ‘all this for one hour of an advantage’.
Fast train arrives and all the teams are off in a rainy Budapest. First task for the teams. Thermal bath. Go in the water and search for a king. Teams quickly realize that people are playing chess so they figure out they are looking for a King piece. Jag and Jas finish first. Followed by Tucker and Eric who figure out the clue reveal while others can’t figure it out. They don’t share their info to Jag and Jas and take off. The other teams finally figure it out too. Direct train arrives an hour later with the bottom four teams. Tucker and Eric go for the fast forward with the Rubik’s cube. To win the fast forward, both team members have to complete a Rubik’s cub in 7.5 seconds but they also each have to do it on the same turn. Jag and Jas don’t attempt it so the fast forward is all Tucker and Eric here. The other teams take off and get taxis while Jag and Jas can’t get one. They can’t figure out if they are signaling wrong or not as taxis are passing with no one even in them. 6.8 and 6.9 for Eric and Tucker to complete the cube and they have the fast forward. Jag and Jas finally get a taxi as Eric and Tucker are leaving. How did they get one? They decided to put their hoods on to where the taxi drivers wouldn’t see what they looked like and quickly get a taxi with them saying this happens to them often with how they look so it’s something they’ll have to overcome. That was just sad to watch and I really just don’t have even enough empathetic words to say with what they go through with that. Jack and Chelsie leave the first task in last place so they’re under the microscope here.
On to the next task. One member of each team will have to steer a horse coach around a figure 8 course without knocking anything over and do it in less than 45 seconds. With Tucker and Eric on to the fast forward, Natalie and Stephanie are the top team running these regular tasks. Natalie is the first to attempt. Jospeh and Adam keep getting wrong directions including being dropped off in the wrong place with their taxi as they try to find the location. Natalie finishes. They are off to the House of Houdini. Figure out how to unlock the cases to find the next clue. Izzy and Paige are at the horse task with Paige saying Izzy has wanted to do something with horses on the race so Izzy is ready for it. Tucker and Eric arrive at the pit stop with the fast forward and they are of course team number one. Natalie and Stephanie finish the Houdini task and they are off to the detour. Teams can either go to the circus where they’ll have to juggle five rings in air for at least ten seconds or they can go do a Hungarian dance. Do a choreographed routine with folk dancers while balancing a bottle on their head. At this point, Kat and Alex realize they’ve moved up in the standings when they see multiple clues left in the clue box. Hannah and Simone are having the opposite reaction as they are seeing teams they haven’t seen since the first leg knowing that they’ve lost their lead. With the horses, Joseph can’t get out of the gate while Adam says to the ones around him that “it was a pleasure competing with you” teasing that they’re going to be out here. LOL. Natalie and Stephanie go for dancing as Natalie has dance experience. With the horses, Izzy finishes with 15 seconds left flying through it. She was awesome in that. Kyland and Taylor are now lost but finally get directions to get to the horse task. Jag and Jas decide to skip the taxi after what happened earlier and find a man with a turban who gives them directions. Their plan is to go for the train instead of a taxi to run instead of counting on a taxi to stop. Suddenly, Joseph has turned his horse task around and Adam jokes that “of course when Taylor Hale shows up, Joseph suddenly does good”. LOL. Izzy and Paige decide to go dancing and Natalie and Stephanie get it finished and are on the way to the pit stop. Jag and Jas go dancing. Adam is still picking at Joseph saying “Joseph is running over things and then Taylor shows up and now he’s a horse racer”. I loved all of that. Kyland is a star here and nails it on the second attempt. He put in a ton of work on getting the instructions right and it paid off. They’re finished and on their way as are Joseph and Adam. The Houdini task freezes up Joseph and Adam as Joseph breaks their key being too aggressive with their Houdini box. So they’re stuck waiting to see what can be done with the box as Kyland and Taylor show up and pass them while they’re sitting. At the horse task, teams are passing Hannah and Simone and the stress is showing on them. Simone gets it on the 10th attempt after realizing what she was doing wrong and off they’re still in it. That puts Rubina and Kristine in last place. Kristine gets it on the 7th attempt and they leave not far behind Hannah and Simone.
The juggling task at the circus only has two teams attempting it. Taylor & Kyland and Joseph & Adam. Taylor and Kyland are rocking it in practice. They pick up on it fast! Joseph and Adam struggle next to them and the fact that Taylor and Kyland are doing so well next to them is rattling them. Over to the pit stop, Natalie and Stephanie are the second team to arrive at the pit stop but the first non fast forward team. Hannah and Simone get hung up at the Houdini task and get passed losing their advantage that they previously left with. They’re now in last. When getting to the detour, Hannah and Simone are excited to do dance choreography saying this is in their wheel house with being dancers feeling like they can easily pass teams here. Izzy and Paige rock it on the on first attempt with dancing. Hannah and Simone tell their instructor that they are dancers and to teach them it as fast as possible cause they can handle it. Kat also talks of how she is a professional dancer but the ways of dancing with counts is different there with instructing than it is in America. Over to the circus, Kyland and Taylor nail the juggling on the third attempt. Rocked it! They were absolute stars on this leg of the race. Meanwhile, Joseph and Adam struggle. Badly. As they struggle, we see over at the dance that Hannah looks like a complete pro even in practice. LOL. On the flip side, Kat is crying panicking. As she cries, Hannah and Simone hurry by finishing practicing and are like LET’S GO. They get it on the first attempt and absolutely look like stars and that they could go pro dancing there right now with that group. Meanwhile, it’s painful at the circus as the attempts graphic pops up on the screen. Jospeh and Adam are at 68 attempts of juggling as we go to commercial. Back from break and we’re at…..133. Whew. I just can’t even imagine that frustration. They get it on the 134th attempt and we get the classic Joseph and Adam celebration and Joseph tackles the clown in joy. Loved that. LOL. Taylor and Kyland get to the mat and they moved up the standings fast with their awesome horse and juggling showings. Rubina and Christine finish dancing. Kat is still struggling. What’s ironic is that Kat is spiraling here after last week saying to the camera how Alex is the one that gets frustrated and once that happens, he spirals. LOL. Now Kat is doing that. Hannah & Simone and Joseph & Adam all get to the mat in tears overcome with emotion of finishing this leg. Chelsie and Jack are shown struggling to get a taxi. Hard to tell if it’s the edit adding drama or not here and I figured it was probably the edit as it seemed certain that Kat and Alex were at the back here. Kat and Alex get to the mat last showing a lot of of emotion being eliminated but they’re so happy that they did this and with each other.
