Day 43 in the Big Brother house.
Main happenings of the day. Yash and Kamu putting in a ton of work during this day was really the main story of the day. It’s making progress with one houseguest, Melody. Kamu and Yash hit the ground running talking to Mallory spilling info to her. First, Kamu talks to Mallory alone and is telling about Dee’s power saying only he and Yash knew about it and he tells her that Dee bribed Yash to try and keep her and Angela safe and then just tried to keep herself safe. This is similar to the double team they did on Lala last week where they trade in and out with solo talking. In between, Kamu tells Yash that he told Mallory about Dee’s power. When Yash talks to Mallory alone after this, Kamu and Yash don’t have their stories straight. Yash tells her about Dee’s power but says that she bribed Yash to put Mallory and Melody on the block. Both did talk about wanting to bring FAP into their alliance. Eventually, Melody ends up in the room. Yash talks about the meeting last week where Lala said she wanted to target the icons and how that info got back to Dee. Yash points out that someone in that meeting leaked that info. Yash talks forever. For a bit, I was just counting how many times Mallory or Melody said mmmhmm or yeah cause Yash talked for so long with no one else getting a word in. That seems to be the strategy of Yash and Kamu with just watching them the last couple of weeks with how they operate. They just talk endlessly and beat you over the head with their points. Mallory did push back on Yash saying she wants to take out a competitor (Kamu) and points out that when Kamu had power, he put Mallory on the block. Mallory later talks to Barrett saying she doesn’t trust the icons and how this alliance with them is likely going to be very short term. Speaking of Barrett, Dee also told him during the day about her bribe power. Melody and Mallory talked later and Melody is really hung up on that Drew didn’t tell them that he was working with the icons and she’s having more distrust with Drew now. At the end of the day, we see Melody up in the gym doing her nightly pretend phone call with her mom and Melody is talking about how confused she is and how she thinks she messed up aligning with the icons. She’s ready to ditch the alliance already. Yash and Kamu clearly got in her head with their strategy of just hammer, hammer, hammer to where she’s making zero sense of things she is saying. I don’t know how many times I said to the TV of this is a terrible idea, Melody. She keeps talking of wanting to win comps in this talk and I kept saying that’s why you have to take out a comp beast when you have them on the ropes. If you don’t take him out if he’s there to vote on, he has potential to comp out near the end of the game and we’ve seen that many times over the seasons. Melody is clearly wavering here. Mallory does not seem to be wavering still wanting to take out Kamu but also saying that she isn’t in this mosh pit alliance for anything but the short term. At the end of the night, Yash and Kamu celebrate that they put in great work today in between them saying bro 500 times. Drew joins them and they celebrate as well. Drew later joins in with FAP talking about how Drew and Yash were acting up there bro-ing it up and saying just how clearly close those two are up there and that needs to be broken up. We had a thing with Angela and Lala last night in the HOH room. Taylor was talking to Lala about Dee and how they didn’t trust her and such. They talk of asking Angela about Dee when she comes out of the HOH bathroom. Lala does it more direct than Taylor had hoped as Lala just straight up asks Angela in the room about Dee asking if she’s working with Dee. Starts asking questions about the icons. Angela answers questions and ends up leaving. Taylor gets on to Lala saying you can’t do things like that where you are basically interrogating people and also especially you can’t be doing it right in front of me. Taylor later tells Haley what Lala did. Haley says that Angela is walking around downstairs crying and upset. Angela was also saying that she felt “cornered”. Yash and Taylor get on to Lala about how she talks to people and basically tell her to quit talking to people cause she annoys people. Lala goes downstairs and she’s crying saying that she just won’t talk to people anymore. Angela and her have a convo and Angela comforts her saying the whole thing got blown out of proportion. Upstairs, Taylor is solo saying to the cameras that she is going to have to get rid of Lala and adding that now she knows how Cirie felt dealing with Jared.
Other happenings. Hot dog gate. Who took a bite of Devens hot dog and left it? They did it as a funny thing on him when they saw the hot dog sitting there unattended. The group there tells him that you only get one guess on who it is. If you’re right, we’ll tell you but if you’re wrong you won’t ever know so choose wisely. Devens guessed Yash and that was the wrong answer. The group then goes upstairs laughing and joking saying “you’ll never know”. The answer that we know is that it’s Barrett that did it. Drew was later in the bedroom with Dee, Angela, and Haley and that topic came up and Drew said he’ll never reveal who it was cause it might get back to Devens. Devens also introduced us to his new puppet which is a pillow puppet named Garrett. A pillow with sunglasses on his head. He talked to Dee, Barrett, and Drew. Talking random things. Mallory came in and Garrett interviewed her about her crafts. It was funny stuff with Devens doing the voice.
