With tonight being Thursday night, that means one thing. Eviction night in the Big Brother house so let’s get right into it. If you’re not a Big Brother fan, I don’t have a whole lot for you this week as it is just not a very big news week in the world of entertainment. I’m sorry!!!
Well now. This has been a wild week in the Big Brother house. Danielle outlasted everyone last week on the web to win HOH. I did watch the competition on the live feeds which was very entertaining. Danielle stuck with her plan and put up Janelle for eviction to get her out. James was up as a pawn against Janelle. This led us to the veto competition which was all about points. The houseguests competing in it were offered prizes to lose points if they took it but they would gain points for example of putting the houseguests on slop for the week. Janelle won the veto. Why? Everyone else took prizes!! It was unreal and I felt so bad for Danielle. She did all she could to win the veto while watching the rest of her alliance go for luxuries. I could understand Chilltown doing it cause they are Chilltown and you know what you get with them. James? What was he thinking? He gives up points for a margarita party? I couldn’t believe it. Then, he changes his mind about going after season 6 and tells Danielle that they should get Marcellas out. What in the world??!! I’m with Danielle in that I can’t figure out some of these people. They change their mind by the hour. Why do they keep targeting these people who have no alliance? Diane was on her own. George is on his own. It also hurt James with season 6 cause they are trying to figure out why he gave away points when he is up for eviction. They have since started to question on whether he has turned on them. The other night on the live feeds it sure seemed like they had figured out that James had turned. Janelle took herself off the nomination block and Danielle replaced her with Kaysar to make sure someone from season 6 went home this week. Kaysar was evicted on a 5-1 vote. It would have been 5-2 but James, in the veto competition, won the ability to knock one person’s vote out and have it not count. He picked Janelle. The people who voted for James to go home were Howie and Janelle. I felt bad for Kaysar being voted out on his birthday and then finding out about the secret Legion Of Doom alliance on top of that. Tonight’s HOH competition went to Erika. Next up is the Coup D’Etat which is a new twist in the game which will definitely effect the game. Some other thoughts from the week of shows. I have never heard the term “throw under the bus” as many times as I have on this season of Big Brother. I don’t quite get Janelle saying that Danielle attacked her and her friends so she’s going after her. Janelle nominated Danielle on the first week so Janelle struck first. I love the phone call diary room stuff with Will and Boogie. It cracks me up every time!! How great was it to see George get that one week slop pass? I’m glad that it was given to him. I forgot to mention this last week but it was good to see the interview with Amy on the show. She has posted a message online where she talks about how a lot of stuff that she said was edited strangely. I liked Amy on season 3. She was a lot of fun especially on the live feeds.
What You Missed On The Live Feeds: The HOH web competition ended at 10:10pm last week. The last 15 minutes of it were really fun to watch. Danielle made an awesome move to stay alive as she was fighting to stay in it. There was all kinds of deal making going between Danielle and Howie telling each that the other was safe but neither of them wanted to drop. Howie was struggling bad. Howie finally couldn’t stay on any longer. Danielle told Erika that she was safe a few seconds later and Erika dropped. Danielle won HOH. Erika looked like she was having the easiest time of the three. Will’s play by play was pretty funny as he was encouraging everyone to hang on. The moments after the nomination meeting were good but season 6 sure did look like a lot of bad sports. They have been running the game for 4 weeks now and now that they are in the hot seat, they aren’t taking it so well. James was putting on a good performance for sure for season 6 acting like he had been betrayed and all. Janelle was giving all kinds of dirty looks at Erika. To me that just doesn’t make much sense, how can you be mad at her? You put her up last week even if she was a pawn. It didn’t look like Erika knew anything or liked being a pawn. Big Brother history shows that being the pawn isn’t a good thing as often the tide changes and the pawn gets voted out. Ask Boogie about season 2 and he’ll tell you that and that was in the first week!! The ghosts stuff started on Tuesday night and it was freaky!! I was watching when Erika freaked out in the kitchen when she saw Alison. That was the first houseguest to be seen. Everyone ran downstairs to see what happened. After, Howie started roaming room to room checking everything looking like he was in Jedi mode or something. It was funny.
Other live feed stuff for the week. Will talked about Talladega Nights some more last week. He looked right at the camera and said something like this “internet I know you hate me but believe this thing that I am going to tell you, don’t go see that movie whatever you do”. Pretty funny. Will was showing his light saber skills to Howie and the conversation then got into the Star Wars Kid. Both of them had seen the videos and Howie was wanting someone to send that to him when he got out of the house. I watched Will, Janelle, Howie, and Kaysar play a game of pool on Friday night. It’s funny to just listen to Will and Howie constantly mess with each other even during this pool game. Will pointed out that the only balls that anyone had knocked in were the ones that Howie accidentally knocked in for them. ha ha. James, Erika, and Danielle had a conversation in the HOH room about season 6. They all said that season 6 came after the floaters first and drew the line in the sand. Danielle was saying she doesn’t understand the thinking of season 6 targeting floaters when Chilltown has told season 6 to their face that they were going after them. Danielle told James that he could tell Janelle what she was about to say which was if Janelle was so concerned with Chilltown, then why in that veto competition did she target Diane and Erika instead of Boogie. Chilltown was saying to Janelle that they had called this from a while back that season 6 was going to turn on her. They were definitely telling her what she wanted to hear. Janelle was saying how she was mad that the floaters turned on her. Janelle was saying how her and Kaysar are playing Marcellas and Erika letting them think that they’re still friends but that she can’t stand either Marcellas or Erika. When watching Will talk to Janelle, he gets her so baffled that it is amazing. She looks like this confident player most of the time but when she talks to him, he has this way of making her doubt everything. Search for some videos of their conversations and you’ll see what I mean. Will keeps telling people that he got in big trouble in the diary room for calling Julie Chen “sweetheart” on the live show last week. He is saying that he’s been told that he is not allowed to speak on the live show or to address Julie. He kept going off about that and also the conversation with the producers about it. I don’t know if this is for sure true or not but I do know that Big Brother was going to flames every time he would discuss it on Wednesday morning. He did get asked a short question tonight though with a yes or no answer. Moving on to the current feeds, Howie is really mad saying that he feels the HOH was rigged cause he says he hit his buzzer but the light didn’t come on. He is not happy at all about it.
Big Brother Line Of The Week: “So, I won a trip for 2 to Aruba and a plasma television set. I don’t know if there is a chimney in the Big Brother house or not but I’m pretty sure Santa Claus has been by here”. Boogie talking about prizes that he won during the veto competition.

Anyone else watching America’s Got Talent? If you are, do you enjoy it as much as you did at the beginning? I ask that cause I really liked it at first as it was an addicting show but I’ve just kind of gotten bored of it in the last few weeks. I didn’t know if I was alone in thinking that or not. It just seems to be too long. The finale is next week and should be fun.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been renewed through the 2009-2010 season.
The VH1 show World Series Of Pop Culture has wrapped up and that is one addicting show. I’ve talked about this show before but if you are a pop culture person, watch it and maybe it will make you feel good having a forum to test your pop culture knowledge. I know it did me!! How well these teams do definitely depends on getting the right person up for the right category. For example, the last episode saw a teen drama category of 9 questions I believe. They kind of struggled with it while I only got one question wrong. The one I got wrong was on the O.C. cause I have only watched about 5 episodes of that show and it was when it started. Like I said, lots of team strategy has to be used to get the right teammate up for the right category. I hope they bring this show back cause it felt good using all this useless knowledge for something even if it is feeling smart watching that show!! ha ha!!
There is talk of The Today Show moving to 4 hours instead of what it currently is now which is 3 hours.
Carrie Underwood will be on Good Morning America on ABC tomorrow morning as part of the Summer Concert Series.
Rob and Amber from Survivor and the Amazing Race are set to have their own reality series on Fox Reality channel that is set to debut in January. The show will follow their move to Las Vegas.
If you didn’t know, the 80’s Saturday mornings show Pee Wee’s Playhouse is now airing on Cartoon Network. I watched a little bit of it the other night as I watched this show when I was little. I watched a lot of it thinking what was the appeal to this show? ha ha. I found it funny that I haven’t watched this show in about 15 years or however long it has been and yet when they went to the connect the dots segment, I suddenly remembered the singing part that went along with it. It’s funny what you can remember.
Have you seen the new Keane video for “Is It Any Wonder”? When I saw it, I thought immediately that this is a cool video. Good song too.
The network promos for the new CW Network are already running on TV and have been for a few weeks now. The music with it is “get ready, cause here I come”.
There are a lot of changes being made on the Nick at Nite and TV Land schedules. The schedule is a mess so I’m not even going to try to explain it. Some shows are being moved and some are going to air on both channels. So, if you watch those channels a lot, you might want to check a schedule to see what is airing when. Changes go into effect in the next month.
If you are a fan of the show, Laguna Beach, or have been wanting to start watching it (that’s me), here is your opportunity to get caught up. I hope this info is right cause MTV has already changed it once but set your TIVO’s, VCR’s, or whatever for 8:30am on Saturday morning until 11pm Saturday night. Both seasons of the show are supposed to be shown.
Here are your TV on DVD releases for Tuesday, August 15th. 3rd Rock From The Sun (season 5), The Flying Nun (season 2), Full House (season 4), Hogan’s Heroes (season 4), Hong Kong Phooey (complete series), The Jeffersons (season 5), Magilla Gorilla (complete series), Remington Steele (seasons 4 & 5), Rome (season 1), The Simpson (season 8), Surface (season 1), The Weird Al Show (complete series).
You Tube Video Of The Week: Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager.
Late breaking Big Brother news. The controversy in the Big Brother HOH competition with Howie has resulted in a new HOH competition which may be held tonight. That is what is being talked about right now in the kitchen on the live feeds. That is all for this week. Have a great weekend!!
