The big talk of the night was the full lunar eclipse getting underway here in North America. I went outside and captured it for anyone wanting to check it out and see it if you missed it. The video at the top is the time lapse and if you just want some calm video with music, click below where I posted it happening in real time. Really awesome show that we got with the moon! The moon started to cover up at 11:57pm central time with full totality starting at 1:26am. We got one hour and five minutes of full totality with the blood moon as totality ended at 2:31am. Bummer as we got a thin layer of clouds that moved in during the last 30 minutes of totality but it was still visible. That first 30 minutes was just awesome as was watching the bulidup as the moon slowly covered up over that 90 minutes before totality. Quite the show and I just can never get enough of these eclipses. Just so special and I wish we could get them more often. First total lunar eclipse since that awesome one back in 2022. This eclipse was full totality over all of North America.
