Day 20 in the Big Brother house gave us a tea party and it was a tea party for Big Brother ages while Taylor had “just wanted to drink tea and eat sandwiches”.
From the first thing in the morning, Kamu was working up a plan to call out Jason. He had a full speech planned and a build to it. He wanted to start it positive talking about the houseguests and such and then he wanted to hit a massive boom on Jason. He pitched this to several through the day. Kamu was talking to people as well hearing stories that Jason had said he would use the veto on them if he won it. Originally, Kamu’s plan was to nominate Jason from the beginning noms but then changed his mind deciding to backdoor him instead. Jason was thrilled originally when told that he wasn’t going to go up. However, Jason got wind of this going on and realized “I’m the new Rome” meaning he knew a backdoor was coming for him. Jason started talking to the nominees trying to work deals cause he wanted to play for veto. Telling people he’d save them if they picked up to play in the veto. Mallory had a tea party planned where they would dress up and have a fun event in the backyard. Little does she know that Kamu is using this as a place for him to use this to plan his Jason speech and let Jason know he’s going up for a replacement nomination. It definitely felt like Big Brother wanted to try and hold that party start off to when that episode finished as they had Mallory in the DR right up till about that time. Everybody watching the episode was begging for the party to hold off too so they wouldn’t have to have their eyes on multiple things. When the episode ended, the party started. Everybody is mingling having a good time including taking a group photo in front of the pool table. The group all sits together and they start doing fun things like share a confession. Just anything that they want to confess from the season and it’s light stuff. At one point, they cut to Kamu asking if he had a confession and I said well, looks like this is where this starts. However he didn’t go and talked about something else. Then, we get there. We’d heard the speech so many times through the day that we knew when it would be coming. Kamu accuses Jason of making the same deals with all the nominees. Jason goes back with yeah, this is Big Brother, this is what you’re supposed to do. Things start to slow boil on this back and forth and then picks up. Kamu asks if you had won veto, would you have held to the deal you made with me (to do whatever I ask you do with the veto) or would you have used it on Lala like you promised? Lala gets involved when she says he didn’t make the same deal with her and Jason says he never promised her. Angela and Jason have a little back and forth as well. Jason at one point mentions Haley’s name and Haley had her head leaned down on her arms at the time. She looked up with a I’m involved now look. He mentions her, Chuk, and Kamu being the three strongest people in the house. Jason says that him and Lala are targets because they were aligned with Rome. Jason talks of there being a power alliance in the house. Things get quiet and awkward for a moment and then asks if “the middlemen” would like to speak on anything looking at Drew and Barrett. They don’t say anything. Things just get very quiet after that. The only people really talking in this whole thing are Kamu, Jason, Angela, and Lala. Jason does say something to Devens at one point asking him if he’s a threat to Devens for show popularity. At one point during this whole thing, Devens gets up and walks over to the pool table getting food to eat which was a very funny visual and inspired social media memes last night. LOL. After another really long silence, it sounded like there were crows in the back yard caw’ing. I said out loud even the crows are caw’ing saying I’m out of here. LOL. The houseguests did laugh a bit seeing these birds and hearing them while adding they think this is the first time they’ve even heard birds since they’ve been there. It kind of broke the awkwardness a little bit. I emphasize little bit but this whole thing was awkward obviously. Taylor eventually gets up and leaves saying “I just wanted to drink tea and eat sandwiches”. Kamu says if Jason wins blockbuster and makes it back, it’s water under the bridge for him. There was a funny exchange at one point where Kamu said what was the point of all this and Jason yelling back “you started it!”. LOL.
Fallout of the meeting. Everyone just kind of goes to their corners recalling the whole thing. Mallory says well at least at happened at the end of her party. I laughed at the moment with a group hanging out with Taylor. Devens asks her what did you say when you walked away and Taylor repeats the tea and sandwich line which they all laughed at including Taylor. Angela talked later saying she felt bad for Jason seeing him all dressed up and happy and she knew what he was getting ready to walk into. She said it was like watching someone walking into a red wedding. Dee and Devens talked in the storage room about everything with Devens saying that was not a good thing out there. Dee said she felt bad for Jason with how that happened. Devens said he did also want to honestly see it backfire a bit on Kamu too. They said that Jason did them a favor with Drew and Barrett getting called out on being the “middlemen” so that puts eyes on them instead of them doing it. They want Mallory to leave as the second option if Jason doesn’t go. They’re afraid that Barrett and Drew might vote for Mallory to stay if it came down to that. If it comes down to a tie vote, do we vote against them and take out Mallory and possibly lose them by doing that? They plan on talking to Barrett and seeing if there is any world where if they kept Mallory that she would not come after them. Dee does talk to Barrett not long after and Barrett says that Mallory had been wanting him to talk to Dee but in a way where it didn’t sound like it came from Mallory. They talk a bit about Mallory and him saying he isn’t sure where her head is at with the renoms. Dee says she’d keep Mallory for Barrett while Barrett says he’d be ok sacrificing Mallory if need be. Angela talks to Dee and Barrett saying she think she thinks Jason has the power. At the end of the night, Jason walks into the kitchen to Kamu and Drew with a teapot and bangs it. He says that since Kamu likes tea so much that tomorrow there will be more spilled. He goes to bed with his teapot sitting there. So, there is the tease for what Monday is going to look like.
