Day 56 in the Big Brother house saw the expected outcome of the veto ceremony.
Main happenings of the day. Devens talks to Dee and Drew early in the day saying he’s starting to get a little nervous about Barrett cause Barrett is telling both groups different things. Devens ponders if Barrett could flip on them. Drew talks of that he wouldn’t be interested in putting up Melody but would consider Barrett. Drew says he could put up Dee instead of Devens to which Dee completely shuts down smartly. She doesn’t even let that sit there as an option. This is the smart thing opposite of what Devens is doing. LOL. The crossovers do have a last meeting up in the HOH room before the veto ceremony where they make sure that Barrett isn’t going to flip on them to which he says he won’t vote out Devens. They bring up the talk again of that if anyone flips and votes Devens out this week that they won’t get any of their votes at the end of the game if they get there. They all agree. Devens at the end of the meeting says he’s going to play up that he’s nervous being on the block to the rest of the house. In reality, he does need to be nervous cause you’re in danger, Devens. After the meeting, Dee and Angela continue to talk that they think there is a push to vote out Devens and they think he’s in trouble. Dee says Devens volunteered himself so if he does get voted out, it’s on him. Dee does share her concerns of a vote flip to Devens and he does show some concern with Dee telling him this. Veto ceremony takes place. As expected, Yash pulls himself off and Drew puts up Devens in his place. After the ceremony, Yash, Taylor, Lala, and Barrett are already talking about how they’re ready to make a move against the vets if Devens loses the blockbuster. Dee, Devens, Angela, and Drew talk and Angela says that she’s concerned about Barrett flipping on them. After Drew leaves, Devens and Dee tell Angela to be careful about saying that type stuff in front of Drew cause Drew may tell Barrett making them show they don’t trust him. They shouldn’t trust him. LOL. Dee and Angela talk alone and Dee tells Angela to settle down with her worry of if he gets voted out cause there is nothing they can do about it at this point and they’ll just figure it out if he does get voted out. Drew and Melody hung out for a while in the HOH room doing their normal thing. Melody talks of that there is only one comp that she threw this season and she regrets it which was the balance beam one that ended up getting Mallory evicted. Drew accidentally says you would have been loyal to the toolshed. Melody replies what’s the toolshed? Drew not only reveals the name but also says it was the name of the group formed to take out Rome. Melody drops info back on him saying you would have been voted out last week regardless of my vote versus Mallory. Drew questions who would have been the one to turn and she says “the tall guy” alluding to Barrett. Drew stirs on if I hadn’t won, I would’ve went home? She talks of how upset Barrett was with Mallory going on the block. Their conversations are so awkward. Somebody online compared them to an old married couple that just hate each other now. LOL. Drew and Angela talk later on with her sharing that she’s concerned that putting Devens up was a risk they didn’t need to take. Drew feels confident that Devens will win blockbuster. Drew then talks to Barrett telling Barrett that Angela is concerned about Devens being on the block. Angela joins the convo saying she trusts them but just thought it was an unnecessary risk. Dee camera talks saying she hopes that Devens wins blockbuster cause she thinks he’s gone if he doesn’t. She thinks it’s an excellent resume builder for Barrett and Drew. Awkward moment when Lala asks Melody if she’s sleeping downstairs tonight to which Melody says I sleep downstairs every night. Lala was clearly alluding to that she thought Melody was sleeping upstairs in the HOH room. She does later mention that to Drew saying she didn’t know why Lala said that cause she sees her downstairs every morning. Later in the night, Barrett and Yash talk where they say if Devens gets voted out that they think Drew will come over to them with working with them.
Other happenings of the day. Mostly just hanging out talking about things. They talk about how Haley went out in that competition and how brutal the length of the whole thing was outside in the heat. Devens talked Survivor 49 and 50 with Yash and Drew. They were asking about how that worked with the 50 cast not knowing anything about the 49 people cause 49 hadn’t aired yet when 50 was taped. They questioned on if they thought Savannah and Rizo were lying about their games to the rest of the cast and he said no, actually it was the opposite of that they shared their games. He told of how the press gets to stay there for the first three days and just observe and he said Savannah just ran down the whole 49 game with the press RIGHT THERE. LOL. So, they got spoiled on 49 and he was shocked production let her do that. He thought the reason that Savannah and Rizo were so honest was because they were paranoid about the Survivor circle finding out about them in that two weeks between 49 and 50 where the other alum would know whether they were lying or not about what they were saying. Devens said the only thing he knew about Rizo going into 50 was that Survivor 49 preview trailer that aired on CBS at the end of the 48 finale where Rizo said his catchphrase. He also said what sooooo many of us have said. He thinks that Drew is very much like Rizo and that is why Dee has trouble trusting him. He said Rizo burned Dee so she’s weary of Drew. Devens talked of Rizo’s flaw in the game was that he only wanted to do what he wanted to do. He only cared about the strategy of the game and didn’t care about helping around camp or the challenges. He just wanted to strategize which is only part of the game. He said Rizo also didn’t care to learn how to make fire after it eliminated him on 49. When Devens said that too along with so many other alum saying it, that is still insane to me looking back on Survivor 50 of how do you not learn the thing that took you out so it doesn’t take you out again. That will always be crazy to me. I would be learning that immediately going back. I love the Survivor talk when we get it on the live feeds.
