The Guild’s Kickstarter campaign for the reunion movie has been VERY exciting for all of us fans. As I type this, the campaign has raised $3,076,616 which is INCREDIBLE! Their 12 hour live stream earlier this week was a fun watch. So many laughs and emotions. Felicia Day talked about how much this meant to her and the emotional story behind bringing The Guild back which you can hear in the video below. It makes me even more happy knowing that the success of this campaign is sticking it to Hollywood that wanted to do something different with this awesome thing that she and this crew built from the ground up. The Guild had the biggest movie launch day Kickstarter has ever seen. It is also the fastest movie to $2.5 million in Kickstarter history. If you remember the Veronica Mars campaign which I was also knee deep in as well, you know what a monster that thing was on launch. The fact that The Guild is doing this is so mega impressive and I love it.
