Day 52 in the Big Brother house along with the 1000th episode.
Main happenings of the day. Last night was the 1000th episode. Really fun start to the show with the awesome video package looking back at memories over the span of the show. Just so many memories that made me smile and make me feel with this show addiction of over 25 years for me now. A bunch of different houseguests brought back. They gave out awards with fan votes for the categories. Favorite moment went to Dan’s Funeral. Favorite winner also went to Dan Gheesling. Favorite alliance went to The Cookout. Best To Never Win and also Favorite Comp Beast went to Janelle Pierzina. Favorite Iconic Quote went to: Rachel Reilly’s “Floaters Grab A Lifevest. Several were interviewed on stage including Dan, Janelle, and The Cookout. We got into the BB28 portion of the show with the blockbuster taking place. This needed to be a Drew win for him to stay. It also needed to be a Mallory win for her to stay. Drew buzzed in quickly on the comp. He ended up being right and won the blockbuster. He later said on the live feeds that he looked for the first clue and then guessed after that. He guessed right. This would seal Mallory’s fate. Lots of tears in the diary room with voting as the houseguests evicted Mallory on a 6-2 vote. The two votes for Mallory to stay were Melody and Barrett. Big Brother had been hyping a big twist that has never been done before. I said how Big Brother twists are usually bad and yep, they stayed consistent. They announced a medieval type twist in the backyard which clearly looks like it will be an elimination style event similar to what took out Rachel last season. Julie announced that there would be no HOH, no veto, and no votes. Then, she announced oh and by the way, no live feeds until after this airs on Sunday night. Nothing says Big Brother like celebrating 1000 episodes and then completely undermining it all saying we’re going to do a comp that is not like Big Brother at all and we’re going to take away your live feeds for three days. Thanks for celebrating with us, now we’re going to take all this away from you. We’ve really been convinced for years upon years that Big Brother really just hates its fans with what they do to us.
However, we do get live feeds for maybe an hour or two so we get to see the fallout of the vote. Melody is not happy with Drew at all. She talks of how he played in her face like it was fun and enjoyed it. She says you were never going to vote for Mallory to stay to which he answers that he would have if she had the votes to stay. He says he still trusts Melody and she says I’ve never given you reason not to while you’ve been lying to me. He tries to hug her and she wants nothing to do with it calling him the worst ally. Drew goes and talks to Dee and Devens about how bad things are now with him and Melody and says well I chose my side so we’re rolling from here. He says that he heard the crowd gasp when he voted to evict Mallory and that really gets in his head thinking America hates him now. Angela also comforts Drew talking to him up in the gym later. Melody and Barrett talk where they talk of where things are in the game. Melody does her nightly phone call to her mom where she says how embarrassed she is and saying that she doesn’t know who is in her body right now but it isn’t her. Drew and Barrett talk with Drew saying he doesn’t think anyone on the other side of the house will trust him anymore thinking he’s working with the icons. He thinks Barrett has escaped that though. Dee comes out of the DR and makes the announcement to gather at the time machine table. This is our last image of them as we wonder what they are going into with this Rachel Reilly type twist which will eliminate one of them.
That’s it for the live feeds till Sunday where we’ll find out the results. I do expect that the spoiler will get out like it did last year before then. So, we wait.
