Day 19 in the Big Brother house gave us the veto competition and more alliance talk.
Main happenings of the day. Veto players were picked first thing in the morning. Haley and Jason were the picks. Lala got houseguest choice and picked Jason which did not go over well with Kamu as his plan was to backdoor Jason. He vented about this through the day saying why would she pick Jason when she knows he’s my target. The veto completion takes place and is won by Lyric. It sounded like the comp was similar to the bowlarina competition. Alliance talk would dominate the rest of the day. Early in the day, Lala told Dee and Angela about hearing people saying that the two of them are running the house. By people, she means Jason had said it. Angela and Dee debrief afterwards running through info. There was also talk of a house meeting needing to be called to call things out. Angela’s paranoia on Drew runs here when she says that house meeting stuff must have came from Drew. Dee then puts her hands on Angela’s shoulders with a calm down tone saying “that house meeting talk came from me.” She planted that. LOL. Angela also talks of the secret power and she says that she’s decided that Devens must have it but that he isn’t telling us to protect us. She says she’s perfectly good with that and prefers to rather not know. Dee says she’d be a little hurt if Devens had it and hadn’t told herself about it. So, Dee is planting that seed there of not knowing despite the fact that she is the only one that does know that Devens has the power. Angela talks about wanting to lock in with the red corner group but she wants to dump the crossovers alliance so her Drew paranoia continues. Later while playing pool, Angela, Dee, and Devens all talk. Angela also wants to hold a meeting with the group where they could see if they could expose Drew and Barrett with playing the middle. This is kind of the first time that I’m aware of that they’ve taken this plan to Devens on trying to expose Drew and Barrett. Devens is not for this plan at all and pushes back on it. He says there are still big targets on the other side that we need to take out first and if we push Drew and Barrett away, we lose our numbers and we’re suddenly in the minority. He says that is something that should be weeks away. Dee does jump behind Devens saying that’s the way to go. Angela does back down and goes back inside the house. Dee and Devens talk more with saying we have to reel Angela in. Devens says we need to slow her down a bit. They talk of how her paranoia and conspiracies may mess up their own game. I’m really glad they had this talk and that they are on the same page cause Angela is going to be their downfall if they don’t reel her in. As far as who to target for eviction, Haley, after the veto competition, is pushing for Lala. Dee tells Haley about a conversation she had the previous day with Jason where Jason said to use him as a piece to go after Chuk, Haley, and Kamu. Haley is having a tough time with this info with believing it. Then, Chuk walks in and they tell him the story. Chuk tells the story of a conversation he had with Jason where Jason told Chuk to use him as a shield to go after the vets. Jason playing both sides is not staying hidden at all. Another alliance thing going on is that there had been talk from Chuk and Haley about wanting to bring Angela into the red corner alliance. Haley tells Kamu that she may have accidentally told Angela about the red corner alliance which Kamu wasn’t happy to hear. Angela already knows about the red corner alliance anyway. Haley doesn’t know that. Kamu says no to red corner on bringing Angela into it saying what if we form a separate alliance with Angela called the blue corner alliance where those two alliances are kept secret. Chuk and Haley weren’t happy with being told no on bringing Angela in. Dee and Devens again talked by the pool where he talked on how he saw the state of the game. He’s for either Jason or Mallory leaving cause that would eliminate someone targeting them. He says to keep an eye on Drew and Barrett for the future but that’s all they should do currently. He also likes the red corner alliance cause he says they are more easy to persuade.
Other happenings of the day. Taylor brought what I despise into the game. M&M’s. LOL. Morgan and her M&M’s meetings from last season that would last hours completely ruined M&M’s for me. I said last year that the person who throws all the M&M’s out of the house gets my America’s favorite player vote. LOL. So, Taylor brings them out and I audibly said to the TV, “NOOOOOOO”. No Taylor no, don’t do this to me. LOL. She brings Devens in and uses the M&M’s to pitch her plan to him for the game. She breaks down how the house is a lot of trios. She wats to do a “tethering” alliance where you have an alliance of one person from each trio where they all would have connections to others in the house. So, she wants an alliance of Devens, Kamu, Lyric, Barrett, and herself. Devens didn’t give her a lot of feedback on it and mostly just downloaded the information of what her strategy was and what she was seeing in the game. She also shared this with Kamu in another meeting when he came in. Lyric flirted with Chuk all day again including feeding him at one point. The houseguests did a lot of singing in the evening hours making up songs. Melody and Drew spent a lot of time hanging out together. Lala got mad at Mallory for picking her first in the veto competition. Lala said to Mallory “did you pick me cause you thought you could beat me” and Mallory said simply “yeah”. LOL. Angela had a talk with Lala at one point saying what Kamu had basically said to her the previous day about being the fun loving Lala and not the giving orders Lala. She said people love that fun Lala and be that Lala. Angela has been fighting for Lala and also Mallory in this game.
